Andrew Cash?

I've heard that Gord joined his band on stage at Kumbaya, and not the other way around as is always credited on the file sharing networks. I last saw the video when it was brand new, (and I was a brand new Hip fan) and I wouldn't have known what either band looked like... I'm trying to find out what's what.

Ashley McIsaac joined the HIP in Barrie at Roadside.

SD, Ashley McIsaac joined the boys on stage at ARA August 1997 at Molson Park. He played wheat kings with them and it is still the best rendition I have ever heard of the song.

This is true. It was Gord Downie performing with Andrew Cash & his backup band at the 1993 Kumbaya festival, doing Andrew's song, "Hey Maria".

How about Sarah Harmer with the Hip from the "Men With Brooms" Soundtrack.

Thanks boys. Yeah, I love that version too: "Good thing ya don't got capital punishment"
And thanks for verifying the Cash thing srb.

Yeah, that's a great song too, but I qualify that as the band joining her, since it's her tune.

During ARA '95, the Hip were joined on stage a couple of times by John Mann, Geoffrey Kelly, and Linda McCrae from Spirit of the West for a kick-ass rendition of Gordon Lightfoot's "Summer Side of Life".

And didn't Sarah Harmer sing on "Wheat Kings" at the 2002 Ottawa Bluesfest show??

Nifty. I've got that one too, but wasn't aware of the SOTW folks helping out.

Gord joined Sarah Harmer on stage at the Halifax show in 2002. Does that count?
