I agree also... I've seen many of the COVERS.... and the Road Apples in their day was THE BEST HIP COVER BAND if there was one...
He had his vocals and act down to a tee.... not too mention the other musicians were decent also...

I've got the Vagabond Groove CD ... and "Hey Pearl" is a really good song. I only saw them as Road Apples once, in K-Town, at a packed AJ's ... and they were pretty damn good.

Ya I guess Artificial Hip is kinda lame. Keep in mind I was drunk, high and on the spot. I had just finished visiting my Grandma at the old folks home and artficial hips were abundant.
Maybe I should have went with "Hip Hip Hooray". :thumb:

If I was gonna start a Hip cover band, Id call it "The Rodents", I love that name
Imagine a world before the "beginning was the word.”
I was thinking about this thread when I was on my commute this AM and I came up with a few very cool Hip cover band names
Day For Night (you can basically subsitute any album name for this one)
Vicarious Martyrs
The Poets
(Hundredth) Meridian
Mean Streak
Corduroy Road
Locked in the Trunk
Goodnight Josephine
Watch the Band
I could go on and on

Does anybody else not believe in Hippo's? I was reading the other day that their sweat is red and contains sunscreen and antibiotics. So there is this giant animal that hangs out in the bottom of ponds with its 2 giant teeth eating lilly pads and sweating red sunscreen. Yeah they're real.
