I'll say one of two:

- Horseshoe Tavern (most likely, since it's a 102.1 exclusive, and Bookie's night is on Tuesdays...)
- Mod Club

Big Grin This sounds great! I hope that someone from here can get tickets.

I'm intrigued - Do tell us more!

I heard on the Edge this afternoon that the show is at the Horseshoe. I'd be getting all excited, but I don't win these sorts of things. Sad

When I got tickets to the second Hip concert at the Mod Club, I assumed I was getting tickets to, well, a Hip concert--not a showcase for Bookie's lack of musical knowledge. But two songs in, Bookie sauntered onto the stage and started asking questions; it was at that exact moment that we realized it wasn't so much a concert as a glorified radio show. The band would play a couple songs--I don't think they played more than three uninterrupted--and then Bookie would thwart the momentum. If his questions were half-decent, I might have been able to forgive him; as it was, they were so utterly insipid that I could not.

On the bright side, once Bookie was finished the band played a seven-song greatest hits set, and it was at this point that the show took on a life of its own. But still, the concert was held the day the album came out...so if anyone sees Bookie about to walk on stage on the 17th, tackle him at the legs.

ya, my wife was at that mod club show. I listened on the edge and it was LAME. Highlight was a call in questions to the band:

Caller (to GD): What's your favouritist lyric
Gord: Favouritist? (shudder)

Seeing as the album the album comes out that day, it will probably be similar deal

I can see it now....

...Hip perform "In View"

Bookie: "Ok Boys that was just great... we are going to have a fan question now.. and so we will go out to the back-alley behind the Horshoe Tavern here to "jeffro" who seems to have got himself caught
in the basement window trying to break'in to the show..."
