Limewire
#1

Anybody here using limewire? Is it worth downloading or is it a bunch of spyware crap, I dont want to get flooded with a bunch of junk like Kazaa does. Should I steer clear of it or is there something better? Any suggestions would be great.

Kazaalite is pretty decent, but I've heard that Gnutella is the Cadillac of P2P networks.

Soulseek is the best P2P network you can possibly get. No frills, no BS, not a single pop-up or anything. Takes a little while to really realize its full capabilities, but its worth it.

If only you lived in the Mac world; AcquisitionX is where it's at.

I used LimeWire for a while but found the software to be full of bugs.

I tried Limewire, but also found it to have some spyware. I still have dozens of gnutella hits on my firewall after only trying it for a week.

Have your tried Trusty Files? Can be used for personal, private, or public sharing.

Ares Lite (the 'regular' version is full of spyware) works great.

GNUTELLA....

Can somebody tell me what the deal is? I finally decided to check it out, and went to gnutella.com to download the program, and it doesn't seem to be "a" program. There are more than half a dozen different Guntella programs for Windows. Which is the music sharing client? And if they all are, what's the best one?

Yeah, I got confused by that as well, so I tried the soulseek, it was ok but it took too long for downloads so I downloaded Limewire got all the songs I wanted in less than an hour, burned em and deleted limewire, job done!! The quality and speed of downloads on limewire was good, thanks to all for the tips. :thumb:
