I agree that happens, but I wouldn't when I know I am going to see them again in the future, and that I would be supporting that type of cause.

It'll be interesting to see how these auctions go. Clearly, they'll either a, balloon to astronomical prices; or b, be given away in the end due to oversaturation. I would imagine the former; I would love to witness the latter.

There seems to be so many users with mulitple tickets (jwynned for example) How the hell did they manage that on the pre-sale?!
It's odd how some are so unbelieveable expensive, and there's some that start at 89 Cents

I hate to be pessimistic but thehip.com presale doesn't work. It only works if you eliminate the possibility of transerfference from ticket buyer to user.
Picking up tickets the day of the show is the the only way to go. Putting them in the scalpers hands with a month to go to showtime is not the way.
It's quite obvious who won.
Having said that...they handled that Belleville gig, this past summer, perfectly

Not 5 minutes after the presale there were already over 100 auctions for tickets on ebay. Anything to make a freaking buck.

Selling tickets for huge profits on ebay sucks.
Not having tickets for the shows I want sucks.
I'm trying really really hard not to support these ebay idiots but it's not easy.

I gotta say, if I didn't get the tickets that I wanted, I would probably be looking into these tickets.
But if there were measures to stop (or decrease the amount of) scalpers, then there would be more tickets available for people like us to buy.

As a Hip concert attendee since '91 (McMaster U, when I was nearly harpooned by flying drumsticks....one of which is on my shelf), I was really pissed by the fact that, apparently, I needed to have taken typing in High School in order to type the Ticketmonster security code fast enough to get a presale ticket. There was already an evilBay auction up before I gave up on the links I had open in 4 windows. The last TM security code I typed was "goosed"...um yeah, I guess I was.
Congrats to those of you that got tickets on the presale, who are real TTH fans and are going to the shows. I also would like to applaud those like srb who are reporting the auctions...let the f'ers eat the tickets they are stuck with......
As it stands, I guess I'll have to settle for reading postings about how excellent the shows were.
