Well I guess that means 30-something yuppies desperately trying to reclaim their youth could vote 100 times each for that god-awful new Shania Twain song...with that pop singer...I dunno, I think I heard some of it and it wasn't even music. It was literally so much pop pablum that it ceased to be real music.
Sorry...I vow to stay up all night tonight watching MMM to see if they play it again! I'm finally at the end of my 15 hour shift, so I'll sleep the day away and get up in time for Jon Stewart, and then keep MMM in the background all night. Here's hoping!!

I have no chance of seeing this on tv but spent about ten minutes voting as many times as possible. Although there is a chance they only count the first vote and just don't mention it, regardless, it's worth a try.

They even list it in the voting forum.

i honestly don't think that the voting really matters to them...they'll play whatever they get told to play from the record companies...shania has more push behind her than the hip..muchmoremusic loves the fact she's huge in the states, and so they think that a crappy song with 2 crappy singers should be number one...

I was going to start a new thread, but I'll just post here.
I had wanted this week to be Nashville Week, where Hipbasers unite and flood MMMT10 with requests for the video. I would be ready to rip to mpeg on a moment's notice and post to The Hundredth Meridian (or even a torrent if that spread the video quicker).
Anyone up for this?

Yup, I was up til 3:30am and they were already repeating their earlier videoflow. It wasn't on.
PS: Does anybody else wish the Hip would, just once, stop making flashy videos and do a cool R.E.M.'s "Star 69"-by-way-of-Neil-Young's "F**kiN Up" super-8 grainy down-to-earth video?
I love live footage that looks like it coulda been shot by a fan. Something On, Silver Jet, etc are all OK videos but they're just too clean-cut. Gift Shop and ABAC are infinitely more interesting.

How much do you want to bet the record companies have perky little interns voting on the video of the week, etc sites to keep their bands videos up there
