Of course ideally, this would be another "Evening With The Tragically Hip" like the IVL tour. But I wouldn't mind seeing Sam Roberts follow the Hip into Canada and open for them here.

Yeah, I would love The Sadies or Matt Mays. I do have a really strong suspicion it will be the Spades. I've heard some of their stuff. I would rather Sadies or Matt Mays but it'll be good anyway. I'm mostly there to see the Hip anyway. An Evening With would be great but they already announced that there will be an opener.

I saw the Spades open in Sarnia and play at the Kingston show and they would be great. I'd love to see them again. Lots of energy.

How bout the idea of having a different opening act for different shows. Someone with Ottawa tix would be more likely to also take in Toronto and Montreal. I guess my first choice would be an evening with the HIP of course. What about the Odds? Are they still together? They were great! Joel Plaskett and Sam Roberts are amazing live of course. The New Alive were good when they opened for the HIP at Bluesfest. And I would also like to throw in The Pop Tart Monkeys. They are a band out of Penn. US who I've seen in Florida and they have a sweet ass album out and live they just rock, their stage presence would be welcomed by any HIP fan.
