I love September 17. For a girl I know it's mother's day.

Happy Fiddler's Green to all!

I'll have to put it on. The weather is fitting for the song. Grey and kind of bleak.

Cry My copy of Road Apples is in my dad's car....in Delaware. I don't think I'll be driving 5 hours to go get it. Somehow, I don't have Fiddler's Green on my computer..well, I do, but it's the Sterophonics cover. I'm going to go pout now.

Just put it on now. A cool, grey, hungover day. Very fitting!
Good to see you back Dame, I thought you were dead, face-down in a ditch somewhere. Tongue

Thanks folks, good to be around everybody again...

They played it on the campus radio station today with full explanation intro, gotta love it.

Talk about beautiful lyrics: "The same wind that moves her hair, moves her boy through Fiddler's Green."

Yeah, ha ha...Am I just crazy or does everybody have that as a Hip-ritual?
I listened to it this morning... (at sunset, if you'd believe that)

Every Sept 17 at dawn... how artsy of me

I've listened to Fiddler's every year on 9 17 since 98 (when I became a fan)
Just like when I eat chicken, I say to whoever's beside me, "It's full of all them little bones!"

I'd say "welcome back" Stephen but I know you never really left us. Sad  Smile

I listened to it today too. This is a hard song for me. Knowing what it's about, does anyone else with kids get choked up when they hear it? Maybe it's just me and I really am weird......

I don't have kids but I get choked up. It's just the sadness in his voice and trying to picture how hard I know it was for him to record that song.
