That's cool, i respect that. Looks like it will be a long time before we see real hockey for a while.

Are the Original 6 league and the AHL and the WHL going to be televised at all in place of the NHL? Or will it just be for the privilege of those living in a city with a team? I heard there was going to be a team in Halifax but I'm not sure...

Sass Jordan ????? What an embarassing choice , that other guy can sing, and at least sings it in both official languages. Hope it's not an omen. Go CANADA !!!!

Eep...we outplayed them so badly through most of the first half of the period, and yet the score is 1-1. This is going to be TOUGH to win.

I didn't even get excited about that. The whole thing was just way too easy.

certainly lacked drama ... feel good for the players, but for me -- who's down on Yonge Street when the Leafs win any playoff round -- a bit non-climactic. Better than losing though.
Even Aki Berg couldn't put Suomi over the top tonight.

the entire tournament was broing....and thats upsetting because i was really looking forward to it. The final should have been a best of 3 or 5.

Best of 3 for sure...but I didn't find the tourney boring. With Sweden being dumped early on and Czech Republic catching fire late, it made for some interesting changes from convention.
And we FINALLY got to play a big game against someone OTHER than the U.S.!! I bet if you were from any other country you'd think it was a great tourney...the US was the only country, maybe along with Sweden, who really expected to win it.

I knew something was wrong with the tournament (or with me?) when after Sakic scored in the first minute, I was hoping Finland would get back into it, to keep it interesting. Don't remember thinking that back in '02.
Too bad giant-killers Belarus weren't around to shake things up.
Vinny Lecavalier as MVP? Questionable.

The lame things about this WC:
- No elimination after the group stage. Only the top two teams from each bracket should have gone on to the knockout stage.
- Canada and the US had a huge advantage with home ice. Of course, this was a made for tv event with the biggest market being Canada (US 2nd), so the odds were stacked in favor of these teams.
Canada won, go home. No more hockey for quite some time, me thinks.
