I completely lost interest in the NFL about 5 years ago. Same with Major League Baseball. Hockey is the only sport that truly matters...and the Olympics are pretty cool as well. That's all I have to say.

I'm working at Canadian Press this year, so I get Sunday ticket too, which as a Cowboy fan, is huuuuuuuuuuuuuge. Last year whenever there was a big game that wasn't on regional coverage, i'd have to hit up a local establishment with the ticket, so getting paid to watch them seems like a better alternative... I'm a bit pessimistic though, i fear 8-8 or 9-7 and missing the playoffs for the boys.....

as far as the bet goes...Buffalo will get about 8 wins, miami 5-6

and i'll take denver over seattle in the super bowl...based on nothing but a gut feeling.

I am so excited. I cheer for the lowly Lions and it looks like they might actually have a decent year.

hey mr. ugly man with a moustache as an avatar...the bet was as follow:

if the phins win more games than the Bills then you can't post here for a month, if the Bills win more games i can't post here for a month...if the phins make the playoffs then you must sport a phins avatar for a month upon your return, if the bills make the playoffs then i must do the same but with a bills avatar. if either team wins the superbowl, and only under those circumstances will either of us be stuck with the avatar permanently, don't try to argue any of this with me or try to state otherwise and be a weasel about it because those are the exact terms and conditions that you agreed to and i will dig up the posts as proof.

I hear that! By the time the next season starts we will have pushed Hasek out and brought exciting young goaltending prospect Kelly Guard in to back up new starter Martin Prusek...a season on the sidelines could be the best thing to ever happen to younger teams like Ottawa!

Meanwhile the Leafs will have to trade places with the Carolina Hurricanes because by the time the season begins, they won't be able to shovel snow under doctor's orders. Tongue

I stand corrected. However, why don't you put your avatar where your mouth is. Screw this "if they make the playoffs" nonsense because neither of them are making the playoffs. Straight wins and losses. Loser changes their avatar permanently. C'mon mouthpiece, let's see you back up your trash talk for a change.

Ribeiro can use the year to take acting classes so that when he rolls around the ice faking an injury he'll look a little more believable.

I can't wait for Martin Lapointe to drop Ribeiro this season. Of course, that's assuming that Ribeiro would actually stand up when we all know he'll turtle, or roll around the ice pretending that he's hurt again.

The guy makes 364 posts a day but when you challenge him to a wager, he suddenly disappears. Maybe mom took away the Internet.

or maybe i just told you that i care far more about the WCH2004 than i d about the NFL, the NFL is fina and all, but nothing beats seeing Team Canada take on the best of the rest, as for Miami, they play tomorrow, but so does Canada, so the Canada avatar stays til the end.

ps: try not to be so judgemental and snoody

mom jokes...yeah that's real mature

I'm with the hockey fans on here. NFL? Ha, any hockey beats the NFL. The world cup has been some great hockey. How could you not love seeing Mario mess it up a bit. Watching Sakic on Wednesday was pure magic, Joe can play. Hockey takes serious talent, even standing on skates is more than some people can handle, Anyone can play football. Hockey is more a way of life up here. Tons of people play hockey, not to many play football. I think that speaks volumes about the sports. NFL is for people that would rather sit on the couch(sofa) than enjoy the great outdoors. Ya I can hear it now but you know what, I would rather spend my Sundays doing anything but sitting in front of the radiation box for the entire day.

Go Canada Go!

Can you let me know what "snoody" means?

I knew you were nothing but a big talker who wouldn't back it up. I don't care what you care more about - you're the mouthy Dolphins fan who was mocking Bills fans. I'm impartial, but I called you out on it, and now you want to run away with your tail between your legs rather than back up your smack-talk posts. I'm done with you.
