The NFL season finally returns! Which means its time to gamble again!
I also want everyone to know about a wager that The Darkest Canuck and I made. If the Bills win more games than the Dolphins this season (which is almost as inevitable as death), he has to switch to a Bills avatar permanently. If the biggest miracle since 1980 happens and the Fins win more games than the Bills, I have to switch to a Fins avatar. Originally the wager included one of us not posting for a month, but since his recent posts have not been (a) as often, and (b) troll-esque, I don't want to see him gone for a month because of his silly allegiance to a team of chokers and never-weres.
Any predictions for this season? Will the Pats repeat? Will the Seahawks (the Seahawks????) really represent the NFC in the Super Bowl like many of the experts are predicting? As a Cowboys fan, I'm nervous having a 68 year old quarterback, but Parcells always seems to do something with nothing.
The World Cup of Hockey, the start of the NFL season, the BoSox gaining on the Yanks. What an awesome time of year for sports fans! If only the NHLPA would remove their collective heads from their you know what.....

I live for football season, what better excuse to sit on the couch and drink! As a dol fan, I think your bet is pretty safe. The fins have looked awful in preseason. they did pick up Gordon (Ricky like back) from St Louis that could help, but things in South Florida are a mess.
So, last night we had our fantasy draft...we didn't do so good with qb's Carr, Warner and Manning (No not Peyton...little Eli), Rb's we got Jamal (I'm a felon baby) Lewis, Rudi (rudi...rudi...rudi...)Johnson, and the old man Emmit Smith, WR are solid Larry Fitzgerald, chad Johnson, and marvelous Marvin Harrison...not a bad crew, but not spectacular either...either way...I"M READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL! hut...hut...HIKE!!!

On another funny note...a co-worker and I were just discussing the leagues best cheerleaders...each teams website has a nice wholesome page dedicated to their squads...it would make for an interesting discussion here as well...
I am super stoked about NFL, my football season started last saturday with a very disappointing loss by my main team Notre Dame. I just think the quality of NCAA football is so much better than the NFL. My football teams in order
1.) Notre Dame Fightin Irish (GO IRISH!)
2.) Oakland Raiders (Ever since they moved back from LA)
3.) Hamilton Tiger Cats (Hometown-EAT EM RAW)

Did anybody else get Sunday Ticket this year? This will be the first time in my life that I will get to watch each and every Cowboys game!
A buddy of mine living in Vancouver just called me to tell me that he's going to the St. Louis/ Seahawks game on Oct 10th. Why is this worth bringing up? He's going to the friggin Hip concert that night too! And the last thing he ever said to me about the Hip? "Do they still make records? I don't think I've heard anything past Day For Night." DAMN!
Does it really matter that the NFL has started? The only sport that matters is hockey and the only event that matters is the WHC going on right now. Lets see here, Sakic to Iginla to Mario or some running back gaining 2 yards a carry. 4 plays to get 10 yards WOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Talk to me on Sept 16 when Sakic and Iginla are wondering if they should play in Sweden or Germany this season and Mario is happy that there is a lockout because it means the Penguins aren't losing his money.

WCH is a waste of time. as long as the pro's play in the Olympics that is the true world championship, followed by the actual world championship. This is just padding the NHL and the NHLPA's pockets before the lock out.
