HipTrip Wrote:Bogarts! That's exactly the place! I couldn't believe when we walked in 1hr before the show and the place was EMPTY - we walked directly to the front and watched the show 5 ft from the stage. Unreal. Thanks for the refresher on the Venue.

No trouble, Trip! I actually am floored by the fact you were there to begin with, and even moreso by the fact you said you were there early and stood right up front - that means we absolutely HAD to be standing right next to each other! Kinda weird....that show was almost six years ago, and here we are recounting it when you are halfway around the globe (or so your avatar would indicate). Pretty damn cool - you drove for hours to attend, I literally walked to the venue that night....

He means London Ontario, Not England. Though its not halfway around the globe, its about an eight hour drive.

 Fucked up again.....I wondered why he had a Canadian flag up there....thought he might be a displaced Canuck!

Canadian Sherpa hit the nail on the head. London Ontario. We ripped everything off from the real london though. We've got a victoria park, the thames river and a hyde park. LOL!

So you were there too eh THE. Wow, cool & funny for sure. Did you go around back after and meet the guys? We must have been side by side for the show. There was 4 of us there and I was standing on the right of centre, infront of Gord S and bobby. Do you have a recording or a set list or anything from that show? Just curious. Anyways nice to reminisce. BB

Yet another funny coincidence.....Cincinnati has a prominent neighborhood named after London's Hyde Park as well. Hmmm.

No, we met the band in the Oldenberg Brew Pub (just around the corner from the venue) earlier in the afternoon, and if I remember correctly, we moved offsite at show's end to kick the party up a notch (if you know what I mean) but not before begging the crew for souvenirs. I got one of Paul's picks, and my buddy got a setlist and one of Johnny's sticks....

Don't you think that show was swift and uninspired? They seemed to be itching to get the hell out of there....

Yeah it wasn't a very awe inspiring show (music wise) but I couldn't care less being so close to them for a change! Even after the show gord D was very subdued.
