i'm kinda stealing this idea from another thread (Escape is at hand)
but direwolf and some other people posted some pretty cool things and facts and i'm not sure if this has been done but how bout a whole new thread devoted to useless and facts and trivia:
heres a couple i know off the top of my head:
from what i have heard and through gord's relations to a mr. sinden.....and in some of their early videos gord is not a leafs fan, but a big, bad, bruins fan!
The video fro the song thugs had to be accompanied with a warning before each time it was aired due to its violent and graphic nature!!
I also heard that johnny fay's father was a supreme court judge in kingston or something (but i have no idea if there is any truth behind it??)

I thought it was Robby whose Dad was a judge? (In fact, my dad once hit his dad in the head with a golf ball whilst golfing in Kingston about 10 years ago, which is where I heard he was a judge...)
hey srk..you could definetely be right.......the guy who told me about meeting the hip's father who was a job said he thought it was the drummers.........so i was just speculating!
Harry Sinden, who was coach and is now President of the Boston Bruins organization, is Gordon Downie's godfather and a long time friend (obviously) of his family. Gordie's a long time fan of the Bruins.
Rob's father is a judge. Gord is a Leaf fan, but his allegiance is to Boston. The Hip used to have Leafs season tickets...but I heard they forked those over because of the Doug Gilmour fiasco. Not sure if that's true, but...

I'm sure a schooled Torontonian could fill you in better...I only caught bits and pieces...but something about Gilmour wanting to retire in Toronto, but it not happening, it got ugly, yadda yadda...apparently The Hip were so pissed that they forked over their season tickets. GASP...

Ummm, he did retire as a Leaf. Well, the last game he played in the NHL was as a Leaf.
I thought I heard something about some false allegations, maybe extortion by a babysitter? Anyone else hear that? I would hate to bring it up if it's just a myth....
