Confusedhock: I love that movie

movie was shit, and george clooney's a hack

Clooney is anything but a hack. He gets a bad rap, the same way Pitt and DiCaprio do, for being a pretty boy actor. But he, and they of course, have earned their success.

And while he's not in the top rung of ability, Clooney admirably holds his own in "From Dusk Till Dawn," "Oceans 11," and "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind."

Granted, like Steve Buscemi, he ALWAYS plays the same exact guy in each movie, so I'd say his biggest shortcomming is his range.

without a doubt, Rabid (1977). Worst ever.

"Rose is involved in a motorcycle accident, and has experimental surgery performed in order to save her life. However, she develops a taste for blood. Her victims grow in number as well as madness, turning the city into chaos."

Gotta agree - I think Clooney is a fairly good actor. But I don't think he always plays the exact same guy. Think O Brother, Where Art Thou? Furthermore, I think that a lot of actors out there generally stick to characters that are fairly similar. Sure, there are exceptions (Johnny Depp and to a less extent, Russell Crowe come to mind) but I don't think Clooney is any more or less guilty of it than most big name actors.

Clooney totally ruined Batman, for that he should've been deported. Let's just agree to disagree, because nothing you ever say could change my mind.

Correction: who ruined the Batman movies was Joel Schumacher.
From dark and dingy to bright and flashy... I hated Batman Forever...

Clooney ruined Batman? You mean, the movie would have been fine if it had been Keaton in the nipple-festooned suit? Nah. Schumacher screwed that franchise, and no one else.

For me, there is, and there always will be, a single answer to this question:

Highlander 2.

I've seen worse movies (recently, I'd say Morvern Callar topped the bill), but nothing provoked the same degree of visceral hatred as H2.

Batman forever was really good actually, it made sense, because neither of the villains were dark and dingy, they were bright and flashy! Kilmer was great as batman, O'Donnell was perfect as robin, Jim nailed the riddler, TLJ was an excellent twoface, and Ms. Kidman was smoooooooookin' hot, when she goes to the window wearing nothing but a bedsheet *boing*....

i will give you this though, Clooney had a lot of help from Schwarznegger, Shumacher, and Silverstone in ruining batman...

that's alright though, I'm hoping the Batman movie coming out next year with Christian Bale as the caped crusader will more than make up for the last one, and help us all forget about how horrible it truly was/is.

With Christain Bale!?! That is going to dive headfirst into an empty pool...

And Batman is SUPPOSED to be dark and dingy. Gotham/Gothic Gotham/Gothic, plus he's like a gargoyle up there on perch and one of the few superheroes who doesn't have some freak superpower... that's why I always loved Batman.... but Hollywood has a tendency to go with what works and make sequels and the sequels NEVER surpass their originals. NEVER.

yes, batman is dark, and batman stayed dark in batman forever, but the villains he was battling were not, hence it had to be reflected...the batman movies are supposed to focus on the villains, and when the villains sucked complete ass and so did the guy playing batman the franchise was ruined...

i'm not familiar with Christian Bale, but i've read up in this new movie and it sounds pretty good, it's supposed to take place before the 1989 batman movie...

Plot Summary for
Batman Begins (2005)

A new restart of the "Batman" franchise under the helm of "Memento" Director Chris Nolan and more in tone with the early "Batman: Year One" style comics. As a boy a young Bruce Wayne watched in horror as his millionaire parents were slain in front of his eyes, a trauma which led him to become obsessed with revenge but his chance is cruelly taken away from him by fate. After disappearing to the East where he seeks counsel with the dangerous but honorable ninja cult leader known as Ra's Al-Ghul, he returns to his now decaying Gotham City overrun by organised crime and dangerous individuals manipulating the system whilst the company he inherited is slowly being pulled out from under him. The discovery of a cave under his mansion, and a prototype armoured suit leads him to take on a new persona, one which will strike fear into the hearts of men who do wrong - he becomes, Batman. In the new guise, and with the help of rising cop Jim Gordon, Batman sets out to take down the various nefarious schemes in motion by individuals such as mafia don Falcone, the twisted doctor/drug dealer Jonathan 'The Scarecrow' Crane, and a mysterious third party that is quite familiar with Wayne and waiting to strike when the time is right.
