they are taped sundays, but the voting starts after it airs tonight for 2 hours and the results show is actually taped tomorrow. But they pick the ultimate winner, not the votes.

Killer version of Coldplay's Fix You by Lukas tonight, the only other competitor that held a candle to him was Toby. It's looking more and more like it will be back to back Canadian winners.

I have Goulet's back on this one...it was a killer performance by Lukas. I thought both songs were great. He's got this in the bag. For all of you who say he sucks, you can't deny his stage presence...every eye in the room was fixated on him and you could hear a pin drop. He has "it" and whether you thinks he sucks or not doesn't change that. For all the faceless and forgettable singers out there right now, he's a breath of fresh air and a genuine talent. He's gonna make some waves, just wait and see.

Lukas sang a Chad Kroeger song to show how proud he was of being Canadian. Am I the only one who thinks it's wrong to pick a Chad Kroeger song? That alone would be enough for me to kick Lukas off the show.

They only have so many songs that are cleared for the show that they can use. I'm sure if there was another Canadian band that was actually good, he would have chosen it to represent Canada. He didn't seem to "fight" for many, if any cover songs...just took whatever, used it as a challenge and put his spin on it. I hate Nickleback too, but whatever.
