OK, I admit it, I forgot to pre-order....

D

Another option is www.maplemusic.com great people to deal with :thumb: they have it for $14.99 CAN. they sent it out to me today so yes I'm still watin to hear it :? hopefully by early next week it'll be here.

I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!

Ran out at 11am today and picked it up at Future Shop.

Now having the chance to read the lyrics and not depend on my ear to figure them out, it seems that like his solo material a lot of family life is finding its way into his songs; that and love themes which i don't think i find much in hip songs.

Examples:
-You are Everywhere (his wife or similar?)
-As Make Shift As We Are (his wife?)
-Mean Streak (?)
-The Heart Of The Melt (?)
-Are We Family (obviously)
-Goodnight Josephine

Even If New Orleans Is Beat hits me as a sentimental song being shared with a loved one.

Also, their is an awful lot of "he said, she said, they said, I said' lines in these songs. More dialogue then narative. I like it.

Bought it at HMV in Richmond Hill...$14.99.
Wow. What a complete, rocking album, can't wait to see how it translates live on Thursday, im thinking its a lot more live-friendly than IVL, which i loved nonetheless. Really loving Gus and Makeshift right now.

Got it today about 5 pm...would have got it at midnight last night if possible but everybody who used to have "midnight madness" sales was closed...anyways...love the art work, and love having the lyrics to look along with... I have to chuckle as I read them because as I listened to it without the lyrics I always hear other words that aren't even close to what Gord actually sings....haha

I really mean this when I say that there is one track that I skip over when I listen to this album. I enjoy every one of the new tunes, a ton. They just keep getting better...this CD is killing me, its just Hip Hip Hip all day, sorry about that, had to do it.

Favorites right now are: Heaven, Summer, Nashville, You're Everywhere, Makeshift, Melt, Copenhagen, Mean Streak, ahhh, they're all amazing!

I know some casual Hip fans that are into all the old stuff like a few people I know will say that the live show was just OK, but for me, with all these new songs...It will be a blast. Can't wait to hear em live!! Throw in a few IVL goodies and a few oldies and we'll be all set.

After JennaBird said that her local record shops were only stocking between 3-5 CD's per store in her area, I figured I better be at my local MediaPlay when it opened.

Good thing I did because the store only had two copies for sale. I quickly snatched up both for me and my friend. My friend is also a big Rush fan and they had their new CD on sale. Because I purchased two or more CDs I was given an additional $4 off my sale. I got two copies of IBE for $12.99 and the Rush CD for $8.99. Not bad, I though. Loving the new CD from beginning to end. These songs will translate into a great live show!

I sleep all day and party all night but I just woke up and I now have it and I'm f**king lovin it. It's kinda funny because we were working out the lyrics to the pre-released? songs and now reading the lyrics, I'm like "We were so close it's impossible." My fave song is definitely Gus. It kicks ass.

since everyone's bragging about how much they paid i'll make you all feel better, i got ripped off for $18.99 USD at Virgin megastore downtown San Francisco...they didnt even have it up front with new releases, I had to go to the 'T' section where they had like 3 copies...lame!!!

I know I could've bought it for $9.99 on iTunes but I wanted the case/booklet, and the Best Buy near here didnt even have it...weak!

My psychotic reservation adventure across the greater Philadelphia area has paid off. Only one store out of four got the shipment of IBE today. THe people at the places who had yet to receive the album *coughBORDERScough* were generally nice about it, but everwhere else I got a ton of attitude. Jerks. Anyways, I bought all three copies that were in stock. One for me, two for friends who were stuck at work. I'm LOVING this album. I've had it on all day. It...defies description, at least from this tired brain at the moment.
