Since I'd label us all real fans of the band I highly doubt any of us would not purchase the actual CD in three weeks.

I usually buy a couple of CD's when they come out and have spent between $5000-$8000 on Hip tours and many other Items...over the last 13 years... There is alot of listening time in 21 days... especially if your going to a secret show before the release.... you wanna have heard the songs a couple of times.....

I agree with thipfan73. I just hate the idea of fattening the wallet of anyone who happens to be in a position that offers perqs such as advance copies of albums. To me it is just as dispicable as the people who try to sell commonly known presale passwords to less in the loop fans. They are taking advantage of our love of the Hip!

ive bought acouple of cds off of ebay before from the US and if you think once you win the auction your gonna have the cd, then you might be dissapointed. One took 2 weeks to get to me, and it was sent the day after i paid. SO if you had to wait 2 weeks to get the disc, you might as well wait for it to hit stores...

Hey Jeffo you put a bad thought into my head. What we could do is plan to meet him for a local pickup..and than we could basically role the guy and just take the disc! But I guess that would be wrong.
Has anyone got an email back from the hip about it?

The Hip's songs are like Seinfeld episodes, you can relate one to almost anything...like I could be "yawning or snarling" at the release of this CD, yawning as in come on already June 29th, and snarling as in I need this CD now, arrrgggghhhhhh!!!

Is the person leading all bidders right now one of us?
I see they have recently bought a Lenny Kravitz and Sheryl Crow CD too, they can't be that big or Hip fans, but hey, I've seen stranger things before...

I'd throw 10 US in, no problem...
I'm also willing to put a bid in last minute if we can get this thing organized. I would gladly then upload in onto thehundredthmeridian ftp.
So let's get a head count right now so we can divide it up.

If we get a scan of this to prove it is legit, and assuming the seller is going to ship it out right after being paid, count me in!

We're up to about $75-80 already so we should be able to pull this off. I can do the bidding, but I'll wait until it gets closer to the auction close in order to keep the price down. I also asked for a scan and I asked him if he would guarantee to send it out immediately (I'll pay by PayPal as soon as the auction closes).
