Firstly there is absolutely no chance at all of the Hip ever playing Fiddler's Green live again. They've only ever played it once (no recording exists) and have said that because of the subject matter it is too emotional to play live.
Secondly, Fight has been soundchecked at least once this tour (02/07/02 St. Johns), so that has been in the running at some point. I also recall someone asking Gord S about the Hip Club songs and him saying that they may well try to work them up at some point...
The setlists are very crowd-pleasing at the moment, which perplexes me slightly (they should be playing more new material) although I guess when I see this tour I will be blown away.
And they definitely need to start playing Tiger the Lion again. That song was always one of the highlights of any M@W tour concert. especially with the light show they had with it.

Thanks to all who have voted in the latest POLL. Please even send the front page link out to a friend today if you can so we can get over the 200 mark. I will be taking a screen shot of the front page & probably doing up another document for Rory who plans to hand the Results to Gord S. on Monday night in Winnipeg.
Thanks again,
Jeffro

Well... so far we have Nailed our Targets nicely.
The Poll was successful with almost 300 votes!
I wrote an intro page on how we came up with the 6 songs and who we were as a group. RORY printed that off with the results and handed it to Gord Sinclair in an envelope after Winnipeg #1. He took it saying, "thanks...they would take the requests into consideration".
Some of my final comments on that Document:
CONCLUSION
• We the members of the above “lists, newsgroups & websites” are the fans that have grown with you & the music. We are the true HIP CLUB. We carry no flags and wear our baseball Caps forward. We understand what TTH has done and don’t care where you’re headed. We are coming along…
• Understand that we dig IVL & the current set-lists. The Goal here was only to see if we could possibly nudge you into adding a “number or 2” that were unplanned! Leaving your comfort zone for a 5-10 min. period during the last couple of shows. (plus see a bunch of us come right out of our shoes)
The next page contains the results and a screen shot of the actual POLL in action at hipbase.com…See you at The HUMMER!
GAME ON,
Jeffro

Superb job man!
We'll have to see what happens now at the Hummer both nights. Unfortunately, I won't see what will happen the second night, but hopefully they'll make things equal for the first and second toronto shows!

only five is tough, but heregoes:
thomson girl
the bear
leave
700 foot ceiling
eldorado
eldorado especially is one of my very favourites, never seems to get played. it would be such a good song to jam with, too. i was going to put down freak turbulence, but decided to do no more than 1 from every album. y'know, i hate to be the one to say this, but maybe they should start playing poets and bobcaygeon a little less often.
