Actually, I believe simply that you abide by your agreements. Evidently, you're on the side of ignoring them when they become inconvenient. Thanks for clarifying.

Actually I do believe in upholding the rule of law, when all parties in the agreement keep their promises and not renege on supporting SC resolutions for payoff money from a murderous dictator. But, you're entitled to your political delusions.

So, to get back to the original question, you then agree that US sovereignty does not extend beyond the borders of the United States, except when it does, which, in summary, is when you say it does, and that when it does, it overrides the sovereignty of other states.

I think the wise course would be to back away from your definition of "sovereignty," a word you've now rendered meaningless.

Speaking of political delusions...

Last time I checked, there was stability, reconstruction and the possibility of a democratic nation over there in Iraq. So I'd say that after quite a few missteps, Iraq appears to be on the path to being a peaceful neighbor. Which is far more than anyone could say about Saddam's Iraq. Gee, let me think about which I would prefer, a nation that is working to reconcile all the different tribes that constitute its citizens or a tribal dictatorship with bloody hands and nuclear ambitions? Because you just know the UN and The Messiah would just solve that problem all hunky dory, not
You argue that the US can ignore international law and invade whomever it wants if the president gets congressional approval. But the one time it actually happened, the justification the president used to gain said congressional approval was later proven to be false. Is that completely lost on you?

Rendered?

Dude, he's not only rendered it he's placed a burlap sack over it's head, handcuffed it to the roof of a C47, flown it to a torture center in a former Soviet state, beaten it, urinated on it, electro shocked its testicles, raped it and extracted a false confession.

Speaking of Soviets...

This is from Pravda. ( Basically FOX News without the MILF's)

Russian politicians being cautiously optimistic about new American phenomenon
Russia’s major media outlets and prominent politicians said prior to the voting in the United States that building relations with Russia would become one of the serious tests for the new American president. The leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Gennady Zyuganov, welcomed Barack Obama’s victory. “His election is the choice of the younger, and the modern America which has been totally disappointed in the politics of George W. Bush. The Americans will not forgive the Republicans the two wars in Iraq and Afghanistan,” he said

America chooses its future.

Even the guys who think track suits are fashionable get it.

Very apt that you approvingly quote the chief thug of Russia's Communist Party, NegPhil. You seem to have quite a future as a fawning appartachik in Mr. Putin's new Gulag Archipelago. Maybe somehow in your spare time you can defend Russia's military incursion in Georgian territory?

No problemo amigo. :thumb:

You lob them up and I'll knock em out of the park.

O.k., O.k.,how's this?

The neo-cons wanted to gin up another falsewar and propaganda story to sell the hoople heads back in the good old USA. So they got John Insanes resident bag man to take bribe money from Georgia for money and arms. See, the neo-cons want the gas and oil in Georgia but them pesky Reds are in the way. A neo-con is dispatched to the Baltic region and gives the Georgia boys the AOK to invade a sovereign country with the promise the Americans back home can be convinced to start a war with Russia. So the Georgia boys start dropping cluster bombs on a city full of innocent men, women and children then invade.

The rest as they say is history.

I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!

'South Park' takes on Barack Obama

UPDATED: That was fast.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone have always turned around "South Park" episodes with impressive speed, but Wednesday night was ridiculous.

The latest "Park" was entirely about Barack Obama and John McCain -- post election.

Though much of the content could have prepared in advance, the opening was directly from Obama's Grant Park acceptance speech Tuesday night (complete with those unsettling bulletproof walls). There was also a segment from John McCain's concession speech.

"We've only ever worked on an Obama version," said Parker and Stone via email, when asked if they prepped two versions in case McCain won. "We followed Vegas odds. If McCain would have won we would have been screwed. It would have been our 'Dewey defeats Truman' moment."

In a nod to the timeliness, the episode was titled "About Last Night."

Here's the opening clip... (click on link to see the clips)
