i fully expected that outcome, i've been tellin everyone that Finland would be the team to beat in the European pool and i will stick by that. Kipper in net, Koivu and Selanne leading the charge, the Fins are a serious contender, they showed us why today.

My prediction: USA 7 Canada 1 in a landslide.
Gotta stir the pot here early. I can't watch the game but I will tape it. Seriously I expect it to be close, could go either way. Hoping for a little OT!!

If Selanne and Koivu are the Fins best forward they will have a tough time winning. Selanne is a has been, Koivu is good but not a superstar by any means. Having said that, I think anyone could win. These games don't mean anything anyway. Canada could lose three in row, and still make it to the gold medal game by winning the games that matter. I gotta say my favourite players on Canada are Iggy and Vinny. They score, set up plays, hit, and hit some more and get into the dirty areas. St Louis is a nifty little player too. I went to school with Brad Richards up until grade 8 when he went to Notre Dame in Saskatchewan. He's a good player but pretty one dimensional. Anyway, it's Canada's to lose. Wonder what 6 players won't play against the USA. I'm hearing Marleau, Thornton, Theodore, Brewer, Jovo, and another forward. Brewer shouldn't even be on the team anyway.
