World Cup Of Hockey - The Darkest Canuck - 07-26-2004

The quest for the cup pt. 2 begins August 30th, and if i'm super lucky i'll be in the house at the ACC to witness Canada capture it's first World Cup on my 19TH BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is anybody here going to any of the games? Can anybody fill me in on how to get tix for the finals?

I am going to 3 out of the 4 games at the ACC, my dad knew a guy with seasons tickets to the leafs and this guy had first crack at those seats if he wanted them. He didn't but my dad said he would take them so we are going. I can't wait, gonna be great to see all these stars playing together, and watching canada win on home turf!! :thumb:

With the possiblilty of no season next year, these games should get mega attention. Getting a ticket to one of these should be very very tough to come by, but every bit worth it.

Go USA (would love to see a US-Canada final), Go Sweden (Forsberg will be MVP of the tournament hands down, world class athlete with incredible will and determination, and grace too)

Call me crazy, but after my Flames made their incredible playoff run this past spring, the World Cup just isn't that exciting to me. Any other Flames fans feel the same way??

I'm still gonna watch it of course, and I'm sure I'll be glued to the TV during the entire tournament, but it's just not the same.

"mansized eldorado" will be sitting next to me for 5 games at the ACC (CAN vs. Russia, Russia vs. Slovakia, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals!!!!)

Tickets went on sale last year - I ordered ours in November, and the tickets just arrived a week ago.

Scaplers, or a really expensive 3 or 5 game packs are the only way to buy tickets for the finals.

Thank you. I'm sure we will; although I've contemplated on numerous occasions, selling our finals tickets on eBay so that I can put a downpayment on a condo.
