I finally broke down and purchased both singles from Puretracks. I've had a copy of Vaccination Scar but I thought I might as well go all out and splurge the extra 99 cents. Too bad they only give you the option of .WMV format -- I guess I'll have to change that on my own time.
I really enjoy how the new single feels like a more 'wild' song I suppose than VS was. I can feel this song being a great one to pop into the car stereo for when the weather gets better (for us Manitobans). Looking forward to the rest!

hmm, i'm a little concerned. i've not heard it, but "putting down" is one of the low moments in the hip's career. a real "paint by numbers" rock song and it is so not what they're about.
wish we could use puretacks in europe.

After lots of help from lots of hipbasers, I finally got the new song around midnight. (Thanks to Jeffro, Mark, and Ron!) It's awesome. I loved it from first listen. I can see how it has a certain Phantom Power feel to it, but it no way would I call it a let down, or a low point. It certainly a little different than what the hip put out on IVL or even M@W, but it still sounds great! :music

I love the new single. Very reminiscent of Phantom Power which is great because it is up there with the best of Hip albums.

It didn't hit me as much as Vaccination Scar, but it's still a good Hip song. For the most part anything from this band is good and different from the regular junk on the air.
