I think Clemens still has the goods, but what irks me is his recent penchant for sitting out the first month of the season and enjoying the ass-kissing from general managers hoping they can woo him away from his "retirement". :roll: But, that said, he did pretty decent for the Astros last season and his record would have been better had the Astros managed to gin up some offense, which shouldn't be a problem for the Yankees. I read that Clemens should be ready for the June series with Boston, should be quite interesting! 8)

Boston is defiintely the class of the AL right now. Detroit's playing good ball now after a slow start, Cleveland too. Minnesota is struggling, so are the Yanks, so are the White Sox....and nobody in the West compares....
As far as the NL goes -- how 'bout dat Brew Crew? I predicted that the Brewers would win the Central, but I didn't think it would be going quite like this. They look like NL Champs right now. Solid ballclub.

I'm not quite ready to crown the Brewers yet, but they are defenitely hitting their marks and getting W's. The Cardinals look like they are still shell-shocked from Hancock's death, but I wouldnt count them out just yet. In past seasons, the Brewers have started out great and then fall apart after the All Star Break, but hopefully they'll keep on trucking!

the april showers for the Yankees pitching staff are blooming into May flowers now...Wang's back, Mussina's back, Clemens is on the way for June, DeSalvo is pitching well...Igawa should only get better as the season wears on too i think...
things are lookin up for the bombers.
cratch: It doesn't matter what your pitcher does when your offense doesn't score any runs. Do you really expect him to win every single game he pitches? The only thing that concerns me about his last two games is that it leads me to believe he might be injuried too.
