While I'm totally F*ing P-O'd at the outcome of the NY series, I'm not ready to call it a season yet. While I'm not really a huge fan of Wedge either, I'm not sure what he could have done to stop what happened yesterday. When your team cannot get hits with RISP - then WTF? Bases loaded with no outs and you come away with no runs - that is inexcusable. One thing Wedge could do is get Casey Blake out of the lineup. He is quite possibly the most unproductive hitter and my least favorite Cleveland Indian of all time.

f**k, if the Jays had a better bullpen Halliday would get about 30 wins every year (that is if he didn't get hurt). I don't know if there's an official stat for this but I bet Halliday has had the most blown wins in the last 4 years by his bullpen than any other pitcher, 2 already this year and he's only had 4 starts.

I'm sharin' your pain fellas...the Reds bullpen gave up 5 runs in the 8th inning two nights ago to ruin Harang's 1-run start, and 5 runs in the 8th inning again last night to ruin Arroyo's 2-run start! :x Reee-diculous.

But the bright spot is Josh Hamilton, who continues his torrid start -- 10 hits, 5 HR, 11 RBI in his first 30 major league at-bats! I don't know of anyone who has been more productive in his first 30 MLB AB. Could we have the Rookie of the Year? hock:

With Wedge, it's not just about the last game, but c'mon. Why was Borowski in when the team was up by four runs? Isn't he supposed to come in when there is a save on the line? That's the usual time to bring in a closer anyway. After giving up hit after hit, couldn't a manager try to stop the bleeding or should the manager leave in his closer and watch the balls fly? At a certain point, you gotta think of stopping the bleeding. But, it's the last few years with Wedge. He never gives the hitters the signal to bunt to move runners over, he never has his runners stealing bases. He sits back and waits for something to happen. As a coach, he should be pressing the issue and putting his opponent on its heels. He should be calling more hit and runs, steals, sacrifice bunts. He just sits back and hopes that Martinez, Pronk, and Sizemore get enough extra base hits to drive in some runs. It doesn't help that he has possibly the worst clutch hitting team in baseball but that still doesn't exonerate him. Why is Blake hitting so high in the lineup? Blake should be batting 10th.

That's right. Te kid has had one topsy-turvy career, plagued by injuries and drug addiction. Here's a overview:

● Drafted 1st overall by the Devil Rays in the 1999 draft

● Began 2000 season at Class A Charleston, but had season-ending arthroscopic surgery to repair the torn lateral meniscus in his right knee on August 7.

● Suffered a back injury on Feb. 28, 2001 when his family's pickup truck was slammed into by a dump truck that had run a red light. Spent stretches of the 2001 season on the DL battling back, shoulder, and leg injuries.

● Continued battling back (and other) injuries in 2002...season cut short in July when he had surgery to repair a frayed labrum and bone spurs.

● Still struggling to get (and stay) healthy, Hamilton's frustration grew and developed into a crippling drug habit. He was spent 2003 battling both injuries and drugs.

● In February 2004, he suspended indefinitely by MLB for violating substance abuse policy.

● Did not play an inning of baseball from Spring 2003 until Summer of 2006, when he was granted permission to join the Devil Rays for Extended Spring Training. Was granted permission by MLB to participate in minor leauge games in June 2006.

● December 7, 2006, the Cubs claimed Hamilton in the Rule 5 draft and trade him to the Reds for $100,000 cash.

And now, here he is. The kid has had a long tough road, and it's only begun. Let's hope that he can find the strength and support to stay clean and realize his incredible potential.

Yankees seem to be gettin it in gear slowly but surely as the season continues...

really, as long as they can improve their play vs. divisional opponents, they will win the division again...the pitchers are healing up, although shittily, Hughes is hurt now...yikes!

They made me look stupid, eh? Don't worry, they'll make me look like a genius in no time. They are not exactly consistent. The Blue Jays horrible pitching made it easy on the Tribe. My favourite part of the series was Hafner's game winning double. He got all of it. lol
