Grrr, I'm jealous!
Some day, Ben, we'll take in one together. Guarenteed.

I hope so, Sean. I'd rally like that. :thumb:

I'm off to see Smashing Pumpkins tonight.

YES YES YES! SO JEALOUS (even though i saw them in September of 07 and 96)

they are so fucking tight with Jimmy back in the band, and Billy's vocals have sounded better than ever live as of late!

I'd love to see the Pumpkins live, hopefully they come to the Maritimes again soon.

They were great! I was worried that Billy's voice was going to grate after a while, but it didn't at all. Great setlist as well - Tonight, Tonight and Mayonaise back-to-back was pretty damn special! :thumb:

Can't wait for them to come back to Canada, i wanna see them indoors somewhere in Toronto again...or somewhere even smaller in Ontario if at all possible. Seeing them at the PNE Forum in Vancouver was crazy, i thought it was going to be a way bigger venue than it actually is...

Just got back from Chucky Danger, they were good. Unfortunately only played 6 songs though (the PEI Symphony Orchestra played 2 pieces, then 6 with Chucky Danger, and then 3 more from the Orchestra.

And I'll make sure i'm there in lots of time on Wednesday to get my seat before Cuff the Duke comes on!

And on a side note, Chucky Danger are changing their name. Not 100% sure yet on the new name, but John said they are leaning towards maybe Paper Lions.

Just got back from Cuff the Duke & Blue Rodeo, wow!
I was really impressed with Cuff the Duke, you guys were right! A lot of times i'm glad when the opener says "this is our last song", but that wasn't the case tonight. I'll definitely be picking up their album.

Blue Rodeo were amazing, one of the best concerts i've ever attended. I loved Greg Keelor's acoustic guitar solo on the opening song, "5 days in May". I had chills listening to Jim Cuddy sing "try" acoustic, wow, Jim has one of the best voices i've ever heard. Jim & Greg are both fantastic guitar players too, each were trading riffs all night long. The last hour+ was great, primarily all rock songs, "trust yourself" and "black ribbon" were two of the highlights for me...i loved the song Greg sang too, where he came right up to the front of the stage and played with only Bob Packwood on keyboards.
This one definitely gets 5 stars from me!

Just saw the North Missisippi Alstars in TO a couple of weeks ago- Kick ass show
Drive BY Truckers on march 19th will be a kick ass show.
Robert Randolph and the Family band in the fall- Another Kick ass show
Micheal Franti and Spearhead with The Cat Empire in the spring, probably the most fun and uplifting concert event I have ever been to.

went to super furry animals and times new viking this week.
my third time seeing the furries and quite possibly my last.
for a band with so much zest in their albums, they shockingly lack enthusiasm when it comes to live performance.
times new viking rocked ... in a wonderfully ramshackle way.

place (mod club) was so packed and sweaty. urgh.

Just got back from a Finger Eleven show here in London..it was a blast tons of energy and very loud. Since my head is still ringing I wont bother with details, but the show closer was great..

Paralyzer-->Take Me Out-->Trampled Under Foot-->The Wall-->Paralyzer

Im not going to say they nailed em perfect but they did a good job and pulled them off well, very loud and modern but still cool.

Ok I need an advil..later.

I saw Hawksley in Halifax the other night, and he is definetly a great performer.

Jimmy Swift coming up on Saturday.

And Cuff The Duke either Wednesday or next Saturday.

I had tickets to see him in Toronto last weekend but didn't go because of the fucking weather.. I heard the addition of his old band is bringing a great energy to this tour.
