has she gone too see them.i hated them myself.
not just dislike, i would turn off the radio if it come on in the car.my husband had a few of his employees give him a gift certificate for a music store and i was pissed he came home with hip music.of course he was not allowed too play it if i was in the car with him.
a few months later my husbands friend got 4 tickets through a trucking company he deals with too go too see them in toronto.
i said i would go but i was not happy. i went very unwillingly and bitched for the 2 months before we went.,hoping he would say-- dont go if you dont want too.
well all i can say is i am a changed person .the show was awesome and i saw more than the few songs they were playing on the radio.i was hooked and have been too 15 shows and still have people i have known for many years in shock when they hear i have gone too see them.
it might just work. if it doesnt it gives you an excuse too go too another show.......... lmao
if not then good luck with dumping the body..........

Here's what you do to convert your girlfriend/wife/significant other (it seems to be working for me--I'm slowly converting my wife):
Briefly confiscate her MP3 player or iPod (hopefully she has one--if not you'll have to come up with a plan B, like a homemade compilation CD or mixtape with Hip songs strategically scattered throughout). Once you've absconded with her MP3 player or iPod, put about a dozen Hip songs on it without telling her. When choosing the Hip songs, go with tunes that have tempos and atmospherics that closely match the type of music that your girlfriend/wife/significant other likes. Hopefully, you've been with her long enough to know this information. (For example, I went with such tunes as "Ahead By a Century," "It's A Good Life...," "As I Wind Down the Pines," "Toronto #4" and "Gift Shop." I knew that stuff like "Fifty Mission Cap" or "Blow at High Dough" probably would not fly--at least not yet). The next time your girlfriend listens to her MP3/iPod on "shuffle," she'll have scientifically selected Hip songs to go along with her usual music. She will finally discover the true greatness of the Hip experience!

My plan is working--just today my wife told me that the Hip were "starting to grow on her" and that Gord's voice is "interesting." I think she will be a complete convert when she sees them live in Detroit (with me) on April 12.

haha and 1500 us for a hotel in nyc
My friends ex HATED the Leafs but he would always take her to their games...its just not fair to the ones who love them but cant get tickets!
