These statements are contradictory.
If you and your partner never differ on anything, life will get pretty boring. So unless she's obnoxious about it, and wants you to change your likes/dislikes to match hers, enjoy all of the other positive aspects of your relationship.
Unless she forces you to listen to rap or new age country, everything should be cool. Tongue It's music and we all have our own tastes. Musical tastes shouldn't be enough to affect a relationship. None of my friends like the Hip and I can still hang around them. I know dating a girl and hanging out with friends is a little different but still..... :rambo: My last girlfriend's favourite band was "Blue Rodeo" and she loved Gord Downie so maybe I was lucky. Big Grin Maybe I should have kept her. In fact, when Gord was on his solo tour, after we'd been broken up for a long time, I got a call from her asking me if I'd heard the news that Gord was coming to Charlottetown. Weird stuff.
Begin a lengthy e-maill exchange with one of the girls on hipbase.

You may just find your perfect match! :thumb:

Ok, admittedly that advice may not work for everyone. If you feel that you two have too many difference to make it through the long-haul, then reassess.

If everything else is great, but you're thinking of breaking up with her because she doesn't like the hip, reassess yourself and your wants.

Hate is a harsh word. My girl does not hate them but she looks at me the way our dog looks at the t.v.. She just don't get it. She listens to Damion Rice, who makes me want to drink bleach, so we call it even.
It was my girlfriend who introduced me to The Hip! Now I own comiong on for half their CDs and she owns In Violet Light Big Grin
i've been in two serious/long term relationships. in both situations the girl hated the hip. it can still work, just try to listen to other bands you like around her and slowly move in the hip. it worked for me. the second relationship the girl absolutely hated the hip.... at first. by the end of the relationship i had her singing nautical disaster.... hahaha, then i ditched her.

I think Damien Rice is pretty good; the coherence of your post makes me want to drink bleach, though.

Yes my punctuation and grammar suck. I struggle with a bit of a learning disability. Bottoms up! :thumb:
I wouldn't stick around, It is part of my dating requirements, because I listen to them everyday (not going to change). hating is harsh
My girlfriend used to hate the Hip...then I brought her to some live shows, and she loves them.
People appreciate them more when it's live....it's what The Hip are all about
Literally just finished an expletive filled "conversation" with the wife regarding the economic feasability of doing the Las Vegas/Anaheim/LA leg of the upcoming tour. As such, I am currently voting for "dumping the body."
Thanks for the good words
I am going to take her to the NYC shows
see if she turns around
If she is the one I hope the kids get it at least!
