What Ever Happened To?
#46

sean.bonner Wrote:Everclear.

From what I've read, Art Alexakis dumped his longtime bandmates, reformed with a new lineup and just recently put out a new Everclear record:

Word on the street is that it's absolutely terrible.

I liked The Verve Pipe and was wondering the other day too what they were up to know, i'll have to look into it. They had some good songs in the late 90's, "villians", "the freshmen", "headlines", etc.

What ever happened to Pure? They were from Vancouver I think?

I heard "Anna's a speed freak" at lunch, which I haven't heard in ages.

I saw those guys live once way back in the day. It was an all-ages show at the Republik in Calgary ('95 maybe?), and about 10 people showed up. I felt kinda bad for the band, because they actually put on a pretty good show despite the dismal turnout.

Anybody remember The Mahones? I used to love that band. Great bunch of guys and a great live show. I saw them open for Blue Rodeo, the Skydiggers, Weeping Tile, the Hip, and Spirit of the West, among others. I also saw them at least three times when they did their own headlining tours. They never failed to get the dance floor rockin.

when they disbanded jordy birch released a solo album that went nowhere. he also tranformed into I Want To Look Like Stephen Malkmus stylings, with, in my opinion, poor results.

here's another WATN? -- seriel joe!

I do! They were an opener for the Hip at my first show in '94. I've loved them ever since.

They usually do a New Years show at the Horsehoe. I should see if they're booked there this year. It'd be cheaper than going to Chicago, that's for sure.
