Just heard a song on the radio this morning and thought I would start this thread of any groups who seem to have gone "missing in action".......
What ever happened to Wide Mouth Mason? I thought these guys were fantastic and had a great career ahead of them............I don't think I've heard anything from them in years.......
Feel free to answer or add any other group to the list........
I thought the same thing, but it turns out that they are still touring, etc: www.widemouthmason.com
I want to know what happened to Rusty?

The CP Holiday Train?? Man if thats not right out of "Spinal Tap", I don't know what is.......hopefully there will be no radio dispatch interference.....
Too bad, I got to see them a few times and was blown away. I really thought they were going places.
I second the motion to find out what happened to Rusty!!!
Rusty broke up years ago. I found a small bit of info at wiki:

I still play fluke all the time, they rocked.
What about the Ghandharvas (sp?)
?
That song of theirs 'First Day of Spring' was GREAT!
Oh, and I looked up Rusty on Google Images and found this ...

Anybody remember the Doughboys? They were one of my favorite bands back in the early 90s.

Seriously!?!?!?! They were kind of Simple Plan-ish, no?

I wouldn't say so at all.
More like "indie" rock sound.
Every now and again I put Shine on some party mix and someone always pipes up "Is this the fucking Doughboys?"
Great tune...and it was played as the intro to the Muchmusic show "Wedge" back in the day so that gave it even more staying power.
Thats right! I forgot about that song being the opener to the Wedge. I loved that song.
What about that song that went something like"We got the pistols so we get the pesos, that seems fair" Was it the Refreshments?
Doughboys were good, Wide Mouth Mason (and their condom bus) were good, Rusty too...
what the hell happened to Gob? i was never much of a fan, but they seem to have disappeared...

I agree. The Rusty EP was an all-time fav here (good ol' days of the Town Pump in Gastown). Rusty seemed to come out of nowhere then up and vanished just as quick. Like Keyser Soze or something.
But really, whatever happened to these guys...
They also haven't been heard from since their debut.

sorry, did you say HEARD or GOOD? granted Clumsy is pretty good, and there are various songs spread out on subsequent albums, but overwhelmingly, ew.
