World Container Tour Updates
#46

Great news if your handy to any of these cities. But man, the East Coast gets the shaft, but so did Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Maybe, just maybe, there's a slight chance that I may be able to make it to Montreal. I am kinda upset at no Halifax, but here's to a 2007 arena tour!

2004-12-03 - Saint John/2005-09-03 - Moncton/2006-06-30 - Charlottetown/2006-11-09/10 - Montreal/2007-09-11 - Fredericton/2007-09-13 - Halifax/2007-09-14 - Sydney/2007-09-15 - Charlottetown/2008-06-30 - Charlottetown/2009-05-01/02 - Montreal/2011-06-28 - Moncton/2011-06-30 - Charlottetown/2012-06-30 - Niagara-on-the-Lake/2013-02-01 - Moncton/2013-02-02 - Halifax/2015-01-10 - Toronto/2015-02-20 - Montreal/2015-07-17 - Ottawa/2016-08-18 - Ottawa/2016-08-20 - Kingston

How old are you? Where there's a will, there's a way. If at all possible, I would try to get a fake if I were you. The thought of The Hip playing in a city I was in, and not going honestly makes me feel sick to my stomach. I would try everything. Seriously, don't give up. I know people may not like me saying this, but if you try hard enough, you'll probably be able to go.

I'm sixteen, and i'm not shaving until November now. I will try as hard as i can, throw all my money at it.

Either that or run away to Montreal or Calgary for the weekend. Maybe see a Canadiens game.

Oh man! The Phoenix is awesome. I can't decide what day to go on... I'm thinking the Wednesday right now. I'd love to go multiple dates, but that would cost a fortune!

Mav, if you're reading, could you perhaps address what time the Toronto shows might start at? It affects what date is workable for me.

The Phoenix does have one of the best sound systems for smaller clubs in Toronto: For those who haven't seen TTH in a small spot... this is it!

The energy will be just outrageous!

at which point I run out of money and winter there....

Rodger that, fellow winnipeger. From the update, it sounds like they're only going to play those shows or something, initially. Calgary is a friggin far drive and Toronto is farther.

Here's to more updates...very, very soon.

Shame the Calgary shows are all-ages. Oh well. I'll try for Saturday and Sunday, as I'll be driving down from Edmonton, though those shows will also sell out the fastest. Tough call! It's good news as far as touring goes, but bad news in terms of actually getting tickets.

I hope they don't seriously mean 19+ for Calgary. Because I turn 19 precisely two weeks after their last show in Calgary.

Whatever. If it is 19+, I will find a way to go to at least two shows.

EDIT: I'm dumb and can't read. It is all ages.

4 shows at the Commodore is going to be amazing. It brings back memories of their 5 night stand during the Road Apples tour!

Cant wait!

The one time I went to the Phoenix last year when I was 19 , I got carded. People generally mistake me for 23-24-25, however, so it seems that they're tight.

Holy shit. I have a Psychology exam scheduled for Monday Oct 30.

I am an engineering student that cares little enough about Psychology as it is...

How am I going to be able to focus knowing that the Hip are playing live just a building or two away???? (MacEwen Hall is in The University of Calgary)

Come to think of it, this is about the worst week for the Hip to play, although I am definitely not complaining. I have three midterms in that time. I guess my midterm marks are going to be a bit lower than usual.
