the peg did get a pretty standard setlist although perfect for a PJ virgin!. The 2nd encore made it an awsome show though. i like to see untitled/mfc making an appearance as well. bettermand as an opener...not my favorite and im glad they got it out of the way before i start my 6 show mini tour.

my prediction...long road opens in kitchener

Back from the Thunder Bay show tonight, my first in the new homested. Wow. Pearl Jam was on fire tonight. Alive, Even Flow, Jeremy, Ledbetter, Black, Light Years, Save You, Elderly Woman, In My Tree, Driven to Tears, Rocking in the Free World and so much more I'm forgetting.

Couple of super highlights

First Eddie came out to sing two songs with the Supersuckers, the later of which was I Believe In Miracles, at which time he pulled a guy from the floor wearing a Ramones shirt to help sing

The applause after Elderly Woman was phenominal. Last time I saw a crowd like that was after Courage during the Dec 3/00 show

To start the second encore, Eddie jumps the guard rail and climbs into the behind stage seating section (the Gardens is tiny -- 4500 cap) and starts singing Last Kiss in the middle of the crowd. It was unreal

Afterwards, the Supersuckers came back and they all jammed out RITFW, including Eddie from Supersuckers' son, who is about 5. Decked out with earphones, a tamborine and too much rock for one hand, it was something else to see this happen.

I had a great time. I really wish I could get to more of the shows on the tour

Cheers

Pat

Damn, you guys got In My Tree?? You lucky sons-a-bitches! That's one of my all-time favorite Pearl Jam tunes. Glad you had a great time! This band is definitely at the top of their game on this tour.

Upon closer inspection, we didn't get In My Tree. Whoops. Sorry about that.

We still had a hell of a show

Cheers

this is terrible news...if sleater kinney comes out for the encores im seriously going to be pissed. The singer sounds like a bag of cats being beaten against a brick wall...i so wish the supersuckers were opening for the ontario shows Sad

Thunder Bay didn't but we did in the first encore and it sounded incredible! You should get the Winnipeg boot....the quality is amazing! I already have 2 boots from this tour and I am pretty sure I will end up buying most if not all of them.

I've been listening to the Calgary bootleg non-stop for the last week it seems. I can't get enough of Oceans opening the show!! Fantastic.

I wish I could have gotten to a few more of these shows. Being out East it would be dead easy to get to a few of these shows. It would also have been great if I still had a reason to go out to London. Back when my wife was living out there I'd plan trips out to see her around a concert if possible. Seeing Pearl Jam in the Labbat centre tonight would be awesome!!

Can't wait to see what else they pull out, hoppefully a new song or two.

I'm surprised they haven't played any new stuff. The band keeps referring to their upcoming new album as best thing they've ever done. You'd think they'd want to test a couple out on the audience. Not that I'm complaining though. That Calgary show was freakin' amazing!

One of the reasons I love the Hip so much is that whenever they're working on a new record, you're almost guaranteed to hear the debut of a new song or two during their shows. A little teaser for what's coming. I love it.

I wish my wife was still in school out there. Well not really, but at least then I'd have a good excuse to head out to London and see the show at the Labbatt centre. Gonna be a fantastic show in there tonight.

Enjoy!!

Just got back from the London show and OMG!! I just got rocked like never before, so raw and so loud, just amazing!!! These guys are something else, Im still in shock. Confusedhock: Confusedhock:

Im not even going to attempt to give you the setlist, they played so many songs I lost track about half way, but they did close the show with "Rockin in the Free World" it was killer. While they were playing Alive, Eddie brought some little girl on stage and danced with her, it was cute, the place went nuts. Im guessing its a band memebers kid or something?Actually the place was nuts all night, it was crazier than when the Hip was there (sorry but its true) and thats saying alot. I need sleep now, my head is ringing and Im half baked from all the pot smoke around me. Not that Im complaining.. One of the best shows Ive ever seen, and Ive seen a hell of a lot of bands, top 3 for sure.
