Alright, I’m just using this Yankee taunt thread as the miscellaneous baseball thread. My Reds just managed to take two of three from the AL East-leading Baltimore Orioles, and now it’s off to Fenway for the first time since the 1975 World Series to battle the Red Sox.
Speaking of the ‘75 Series, a famous Calton Fisk HR that barely stayed fair won Game 6 for the Red Sox. I’m sure if you are a baseball fan, you have seen the image of Fisk using body language to “wave the ball fair” after he hit it:

If your grandfather truly did pass away, then I'm sorry for your loss.
The fact that you would say that he will ask God to let the Yankees win strikes me as eerie at best... and quite frankly heartless at worst. It also leads me to think that there is a chance that you are lying about your grandfather in a lame attempt to make a joke.

Since this seems like it's turning into a general baseball thread...man, did the Jays ever get owned tonight. Fricking Chris Carpenter--years of frustration up here, and all of a sudden he's throwing complete game one-hitters. Just amazing what happens to pitchers when they leave Toronto.
