wow, the Americans fall to 0-2. they should bounce back against the Slovaks tomorrow night though, i hope they do at least, that way Canada has a chance of playing Slovakia in the quarter-finals.

He dipsy-doodled around two Americans...absolutely amazing. Goal of the tourney for sure!
What a sweet game...the Russians more than outshot the US by 2-1 and the Americans still haven't won a game. Not that I have anything against the US, but I miss the Canada-Russia rivalry and I want the final to not involve the US for once!

Amazing goal. Though, it wasn't a real D-man he turned inside out - it was Amonte. Amonte's going to be looking for his jockstrap well into next week.

interesting sidenote here: according to tsn the Montreal Canadiens planted a lucky looney at centre ice in the Bell Centre and the piece of ice with the looney in it was given to Gretzky and is currently being kept frozen, presumably so that it can be planted at centre ice at the ACC...hmmmmmmmmm.

Are canadians rooting for the Americans tonight ?? I know the USA isnt playing well (at all) but i cant imagine Canada wanting to get into a 1 game elimination contest with their biggest rivals.

the Russians are tough........did you all see Maxim Afinogenov out there last night....he was like a man posessed. I would like to see that effort from him all year in Buffalo.

yeah, he was somethin else, he didn't score, but he played one helluva game nonetheless. can't wait til the games tomorrow, should be the best day of WCH yet.
