I would just as soon purchase the cd in some store or another myself. I rememeber skipping class back in grade 11 to buy Music @ Work the second the store opened. It was all about the trek to get the album.

Anyone else remember when TATH and Live Between us came out on Saturdays? TATH was my first Hip album, I remember buying it the day it came out...it's not like I remember moments receiving the mail fondly.

Yeah there was something special about the Saturday release. LBU was my first "day of" purchase.
I've said it before: it's going to a good week for rock and roll. New Hip and Old 97's records on the Tuesday. Dave Matthews Band in Toronto on the 30th. Maybe, just maybe if I'm stupid, Sam Roberts in Quebec City on July 1st (REALLY stupid)
Also a note from the front page comments, if you hadn't seen it, turns out Ballroom is now You're Everywhere, and the lead off track is dedicated to Dan Snyder
Cheers
Pat

For the record, the album is 44:03 in length. Unless I screwed up somewhere with the math, that is.

Can't agree more. One of my favourite Hip memories is waiting in line at the local recod shop in Saskatoon (Music Baron... R.I.P.) around midnight for the release of Phantom Power. The store had the Hip playing and hourly specials on Hip albums. The people in line were awesome and it was an awesome night. I got home that night, popped the cd in the player and fell asleep listening to the first track! I could have bought the cd in the morning because I didn't even listen to it that night...well I guess subcontiously I heard it and it was awesome! Good times!
