Tragically Hip joins Canada for Haiti Telethon

definitely a fine choice - still, couldn't they have cut out some of the idiotic banter from muroney and hickey and allow for more music? oh well, hey and Neil Young on the American version was awesome - but then again, come on back home Neil, we're "living with war" too.

Very nicely done by all. I got chills from Emily Haines' "Help I'm Alive", both from the the music and her vocals (hope someone captured that), but also by the actual lyrics, which may very well be ringing true for someone still in the rubble. Sad

Interestingly enough, while I watched it live I noticed his voice was all out of sorts - not very good at all.
But on this Youtube clip it sounds almost perfect.

That is just a classic, chilling performance

I can hear it closer to the beginning where it's sounding off a bit. To me he seems shakey. The whole reason they didn't perform it live for so long was because it was a very personal song, no? Perhaps he's seeing the reasons he wrote it coming out in Haiti in other people's lives. It took a heck of a lot of bravery to sing that last night if this is the case.

Still sounded amazing. If anything I think it added to the emotion of the performance. You could tell it was real emotion and not just something he added in there.

Well done guys.

Oh, wow. I wasn't able to watch last night, but the emotion was clear even just listening. Watching it is really powerful, shaky or no.
