I understande the real need to have Michele Jean speak tomorrow night, but Harper? He should be off working on his agenda, isn't that why our Canadian Parliament isn't sitting?...is it too late to organize a petition?....this is a humanitarian effort not a political soapbox. how come the official opposition isn't invited to speak to Canada?

When i heard about the haiti concerts in canada, i began hoping for the hip and its going to happen!

Because he's the prime minister. The Opposition isn't. He's the head of government. The Opposition isn't. When the Liberals beat the Tories (it'll happen eventually), Ignatieff or Rae or whoever can speak. Until then, Harper's the PM, even if you don't like him.
