I changed nothing! haha
I know a few big Steelers fans too...
But as a Colts fan, can I ever really justify cheering for the Steelers?

As most of you know, I live in Arizona. I've held season tickets for 17 years now for the Cardinals, (even when the price went way up due to the new stadium in Glendale). Prior to 3 years ago, I suffered every single year that they played at ASU, the heat was unbearable because there was no dome, the only games that were really enjoyable at that time were in November and December. and the losses were heartbreaking, but I kept cheering them on nonetheless. The only time I do not cheer for the Cardinals is when they play my Pittsburgh Steelers. This is a loyalty that will never waiver. The Pens, Steelers, and Nittany Lions will always be my teams. I have lived here for 17 years but my entire family is in PA.
And, yeah, it is a lonely time here for me. I appreciate all my buddies' sense of humor and take all their ribbing with a grain of salt. I will humbly accept the outcome. I did not want this matchup...
I believe the term "Band Wagon Fan" was defined in great detail these last few weeks here in Phoenix. It is getting real old ..."gag".
So I say: GO STEELERS!!

I have no idea why Warner didn't throw it to Fitzgerald until near the end of he the game. Yeah, I realize Pittsburgh was playing a man deep during the first half to scare Warner off from throwing the deep ball, but he's the best fucking receiver in the NFL and he's made spectacular catches all year and all playoffs in double coverage. Did Haley get amnesia and forget Fitzgerald was on the team? And then when they started throwing to him, oh hey 2 TD's, how the hell did that happen? To me, the play calling on Arizona's part singlehandedly lost the game for them. I said last week Fitzgerald could win this game by himself, and I think he would have if they threw him the ball more than once in the first half.
Anyways, I was cheering for the Steelers and I'm glad they won. The game, although sloppy as hell was undeniably entertaining. Also, that fumble at the very end should have been called an incomplete pass, if you're going to establish a stupid rule like that you have to enforce it in every situation. I guess if Warner's name was Tom Brady they would have booth reviewed it. To me it was like that Brett Hull goal that sunk the Sabres. It would have been incredibly exciting to see a Hail Mary to the end zone for the Superbowl win.

I am a tad slow on these boards of late, I am working many many hours. That being said,
I was shocked at some of the reactions to the game.
My take:
Big Ben scrambled on many occassions to make the pass: rating: A+
Pittsburgh won under the last 2 minutes 2 games in a row (4 total in season)showing great tenacity: rating A+
Holmes one of the great receivers special teams guy in league: rating A+
One of my personal favs Hines Ward is a great competitor, even when injured: rating A+
Polamalu was doing a great job that is why Warner could not connect with Fitzgerald throughout the game: rating A+
see a pattern here?
I live in AZ and have had to defend the game for 3 days now...how the officials suck and all, how Pittsburgh is cheaters etc. My response was "Hey the Patriots called, they want their bandwagon back".
This was the best SB I have seen in a very long time.
Now I can wear my second teams hat...I hope Warner stays healthy, Az wants to keep him, Q can go, seriously, we don't need a TO on this team. As long as the Cards make playoffs next year they won't be jacked the "one hit wonder" team.
Glad it is off season, now on to the NHL, and yeah sadly back to watching my Pens.
