That may not be as crazy as it sounds. I could picture K-OS going on an extended rap in the "jam" part of the song and ending it with the "If I die of vanity..." bridge. It would be different, it would be risk-taking...
... hell, it might even be brilliant. Who knows? I'm pretty sure at the very least, it wouldn't be boring.
