For me it has to be two different surprises.
1) Landmark Theatre on the Evening With Tour...Gord got really pissed at some drunk in the pit and totally went off on him. Not that I was surprised that Gord D was ranting but rather that it was about some drunk f@$k who had flipped him off.
2) Burlington during this years IBE tour was a surprise from start to finish. I somehow ended up on the rail for the show and then Gord D ranted to me (at me?) and my brother during IOD. Plus the Sox beat the Yankees and Gord announced the score before jumping into the encore.

Palace Theatre Albany, NY October 1998....
My friend had the great idea to rush the stage during Springtime. Anyway, he got up there and security jumped him and tossed him down into the pit. To make a long story short.....he landed on his head and was knocked out cold.....Gord reconized this and told the guys to stop playing and said something like "this guy doesn't looked to good, we've had enough (of the very, very rowdy crowd)" and they walked off stage ending the show. Next thing I know I am up on stage watching police and fire men tending to my out cold friend while angry fans are screaming at him 'cause he ended the show. I managed to grab the hand written set list of the stage and tap on the drumbs a little....then we went back stage as my friend was put into an ambulance. Pretty Wild Night

Id have to say at the Toronto show this November when the played Boots or Hearts. I was so happy i think i let out one of the girliest screams in my entire life....made the entire nite for me

hearing pigeon camera during soundcheck at the cleveland show in september, and then hearing fighter fighter for the first time there. also membership was really sweet in rochester this last tour.

the phantom power tour..seattle..paramount theater (i think..that or the moore..i get them mixed up..) hearing so hard done by with steve berlin on sax..then staying on stage for a really cool jazzed up version of nois, complete with "jet" by wings....stunning to say the least

Got a backstage pass from a friend...danced for three hours and got a wee bit sweaty...tried to go backstage and the bouncer took one look at me laughed and pointed as he said no-way.
It was classic
