Each of the members of The Hip are 3 degrees from Kevin Bacon.

Using Gord Downie as an example...

The Oracle says: Gord Downie has a Bacon number of 3.

Gord Downie was in Men with Brooms (2002) with Leslie Nielsen
Leslie Nielsen was in Nuts (1987) with Eli Wallach
Eli Wallach was in Mystic River (2003) with Kevin Bacon

Wow... I am watching Men With Brooms RIGHT NOW. Crazy coincidence.

I just love the song Paul Gross wrote/helped perform for the theme. It plays as the funeral procession is making its way to the cemetery near the start of the film. When I met him last year, I told him I was a big fan of the song and he said, very genuinely: "I'm glad somebody noticed that, thanks man..." Really cool in person and intimidatingly handsome... chicks all over the dude.

Oh, and MWB has Molly Parker. Score.

Thanks KTL, seems like a good place here.

Whoa, HipTrip.....what's the story behind your signature? :thumb:

If I may, I think you'll find the answer to that in his post. Seems he was pulled there...

[The Horrible Esthete]

Oh!

[chris]

Yes, Johnny was in BB2000.
There is a scene in a strip club or something and he is a patron.
Just playing the part of an extra.

Whoa! I had no clue, i've never heard that one before!

Parts of BB2000 were filmed in Kingston. The opening scene is at Milhaven Penitentiary. The mayor of Kingston, at the time it was filmed, is one of the prison guards. (Gary Bennett is his name.)

The Horrible Esthete - there is a post on page 2 that tells my Cincinnati story. It's where I met the boys on day in 98. Can't remember the name of the Venue though - real shitty part of town!

Bogart’s, located in Correyville (Clifton area)...shitty, indeed  . Hopefully, you were able to see some of the nice parts of town. The band was hanging out in Oldenberg Brew Pub that afternoon...Bobby bought me a stout. :thumb: Such a genuinely nice guy...

[HipTrip]

Bogarts! That's exactly the place! I couldn't believe when we walked in 1hr before the show and the place was EMPTY - we walked directly to the front and watched the show 5 ft from the stage. Unreal. Thanks for the refresher on the Venue.

Typically if your not a big breasted hot woman, Johnny Fay is a prick.

From what I have been told....

Johnny talks to everyone, however, if there is a hot 'model material' woman in the vicinity, he gets tunnel vision and ignores people.

Are you sure that's just Johnny and not every other guy on the face of the planet?

You'd be surprised how many men don't like 'model material' and like big girls like me. However, as a rock star, Johnny and the boys are like REQUIRED to like hot women. It just comes with the territory.

Also you can admire a beautiful woman without being rude to others!!!

nevermind this post, I was drunk and confused

You mean the Y chromosome?

And why is this...

Also you can admire a beautiful woman without being rude to others!!!
