wow...hmmm...wow

a very kickin tune indeed. I'd say it deserves AT LEAST 4 or 5 listens before you can make a reasonable judgement. Its a little hard to get into, but once there its pretty awesome. And the highlight - definately would have to be gord's 'Wooo' near the end...masterful

i think i like vaccination scar a little better...or maybe thats just because ive listened to it many more times, and its more sunken in

Listening to Edge right now, and the music is completely drowning out Gord's voice. This is a fully mastered single? Whateve.

Extremely disappointed. It'd be better if the music was clearer and we heard more of Gord's voice.

Poor Poor stuff.

I totally disagree. The guitars and drums are certainly cranked right up there (just the way I like 'em), but I can hear Gord just fine. The roughness of the music is what makes it great. Adam Kasper uses a very live-off-the-floor approach to recording, with little or no overdubs. Personally I think it's fantastic. The Hip are essentially a live band, so why not record them that way. This is about as close to what they sound like live as you're gonna get on a studio album. I love it! :thumb:

I gather, Edge, is a good resource for The Tragically Hip?
I heard Summer Is Killing Us on Y108 Hamilton.. I am sure, it will come again within the next hour..

I also, purchased it from Puretracks.com

Have only heard it once.. via the radio.. Will not form an opinion yet

So Edge listeners what was the concert announcement on Edge?
Dieing to know!

Cheers! 8)

I don't think it's very radio friendly in that respect, though I don't think there's anything wrong with the way it's been recorded. Very air-y, very modern. (air-yness seems to be the big trend in 00's music)

It's a great song, although it didn't really sink in until the third listen. Gotta love that "woo" at the end!

Actually, the more I'm thinking about it, the more I'm realising it was a technical error on either my radio or from Edge. Either way, I'm hopinh to listen to it the way it's apparently supposed to sound.

That's exactly when I heard it. Glad to know I'm not going insane.

As much.

Well they're playing the Hip at 5:04!! But it's Vaccination Scar. Sad

I'll keep The Edge on for the next little while or until a copy becomes available.

Yeah, there's a problem with the copy on the Edge. Rock 95 out of Barrie is playing the very clear copy that I just bought from Puretracks.

Cheers
