In Between Evolution Track listing!!
#31

Am I the only one who believes this is not a fake?
6 If New Orleans Is Beat...Obviously "Beat" from Whistler, and I remember hearing those lines at Edgefest...
Many of the other tunes are recognizeable from Whistler...
and as for Ballroom...who knows, maybe it never even made it to the album? If every song is short, hard guitars, wouldn't Ballroom NOT fit the mood of the album? I'd highly doubt Rounder would put up a fake tracklisting...radio stations repeat all this kind of stuff, that'd be awful publicity for The Hip.
Everyone is also commenting on how we never get any word from The Hip....this just appeared on Rounder, and we all know how often The Hip give us news Tongue so maybe it'll just take a few days, which is nothing new for Hip fans. I hope I'm not being too optimistic...

Nope.........

Ya I was also doing some comparisonz from that whispler gig and the rounder setlist.......seemz legit to me myself and Irene........

I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!

Wow, you don't visit for a couple of days, and all hell breaks loose. This is great news! Short sweet rocking songs. I for one think this is real. I don't think Rounder would dupe us, especially if some of these songs were played in Whistler.

As for "If New Orleans is Beat".......very freaky coincidence. I was saying to my brother...."wouldn't it be cool if they did sort of a sequel to one of their most famous songs....say NOIS". Maybe not a sequel...but this could be something along those lines.

In any event. I want to buy this CD now.

i will wait until i see an official announcement from the Hip until i get excited over it.

if, however, they turn out to be correct, i will be pissed. i am sorry, but $20 for a cd that is less than 40 minutes long? that is a rip off. this is the reason the record industry is losing money. it isn't because of downloading.

did anyone notice this?

shouldn't they know that VS was the first single? one more reason to doubt it.

I noticed it too that "summer's killing us" is said to be the first single - This is the US record label and its not uncommon to release a different song as the 1st,2nd, etc.. single- in a different country- Alot of UK bands do it for the US/Canada and vice versa- Maybe they decided it was a better single then " VS" also it could be a typo

I can pretty much guarantee you the CD will not cost $20. The Hip's label (Universal) has lowered the prices on all of their major titles over the past year to $14.99 or less. If you live out west, I recommend buying the album at A&B Sound. Their prices are incredibly cheap. I recently picked up the new Sarah Harmer album for $12.99.

You can pre-order the cd on amazon for $17.99

Doesn't really matter what the price is, I'm sure we will all be buying it.

I think I will wait to buy it in a Canadian store. I try to support Canadian businesses as much as I can. Music World, or any other Canadian retailers. Plus, I don't like the idea of buying off Amazon. And, I think the CD will be cheaper in stores.

Still, I can't wait for the CD.

None of my friends understand the enjoyment I get out of the Hip. But, few of them have the intelligence to enjoy the lyrics and premise(s) of the songs. Can't Wait! :jump

I'd buy it if it was $100!

About "If New Orleans Is Beat"... I'm going to say that I bet it will sound absolutely nothing like NOIS. It's funny though. The titles "New Orleans Is Sinking" and "If New Orleans Is Beat" really seem to go together nicley. One interpretation could be that the first song is about the fact that the place is sinking, and the second song is about what would happen when it finally finishes sinking. Ither that or they are actually singing about NOIS in NOIB. Maybe it's about what it would be like if they came up with a song that defined themselves as a band even more than NOIS. Wierd, but a possibility none the less.

A bonus...if "Summer's Killing Us" really is the first single for the states, then we'll get to hear two new Hip singles before the album's release, maybe before we hear ANYTHING from the album...a definite plus!
