According to Dr. Perry, the (original released) dates and venues were planned/booked PRIOR to Gord's diagnosis. It just happened that Kingston was slated as the last stop..

I was under the understanding the album was pushed back. would they have been playing arenas the tour if the world had continued on its normal path? The FC show seemed to do OK, but not an across the board sell out. I had been gearing up for a multi night theater show. And an August tour across Canada is not prime. Earlier and you can hit some festivals, later it's fall and it's an easier sell for ticket buyers not juggling vacations. Summer arena tour would have been a pretty big financial risk imo. Plus a normal tour would have at least included Montreal and the east coast.

More shows - that looked and felt like a final tour, and a final show. No offense to Buffalo, but can't top that, at least in the near term.

I had the sense Gord was rallying to perform, he looked spent at the end of the two shows I saw. Hopefully there is more, means a good prognosis. I just cant shake the stats around his form of cancer. He already gave up a month touring.

Not to rain on this parade, but Gord looked finished to me. He seemed to stumble through most of the songs, quite often missing his timing & forgetting a lyric, and relying on the TelePrompTer (more than previous shows) for songs he's played hundreds of times before. Maybe I didn't notice him using it early on in the tour, but to me he was 100% better prior to the Hamilton show. Perhaps he was simply out of gas by Kingston, I don't know... far from his best this tour, but an epic performance nonetheless.

i was at three shows and periscoped the rest - Kingston was, by far, the most spent Ive seen him - maybe it was just the weight of the tour ending and the national broadcast, but his voice was shot and nis mobility was bad...under the circumstances its completely understandable and the show was fantastic for just watching a man do what he was doing...musically, I thought it was their weakest show

As much as loving to see a show in Buffalo ( right across the ditch from here ) I just can't see it

Hope i'm wrong , but everything about this cross Canada tour ( in my opinion ) was Gord saying thank you and goodbye to the fans
and the fans doing the same back

I'm amazed that he made it through that tough as fuck tour schedule .... must admit he looked physically and emotionally spent at the end
