"The Hip Not Done Yet Baker Says"

http://www.thewhig.com/2016/08/11/the-hi...baker-says

Just a side note, I found this on a Facebook post. It was a link by a local musician I am friends with (well Facebook friends with if that means anything) that actually does a lot of work with Rob and Gord S. Her name is Emily Fennell. Her exact post to this link was:

"Hahaha... There was NEVER anything from Hip camp stating anything about last album, tour or show. The media has done a shitty job of getting that right. There is no "hint". There was never anything stated that this was the final anything"

I admire that Canadian press was able to turn a tweet into a full news story.

A hilariously high % of "news" these days comes from politicians, athletes, etc. sending a tweet and the talking heads "reporting" on it.

And I love that they automatically spin it into the band continuing to tour when he was being incredibly vague for a reason. They never said they were not done either.

LOL, OK maybe I should have stated a Kingston OR Toronto show instead of corridor. But hey, I'll gladly see them wherever they want to play! :thumb:

Your're forgetting Deseronto though too, from what I hear, it is friends with Paul! Big Grin

This was a funny quote too: "The Hip is a notoriously private band that typically rebuffs interview requests." Typically? This is the first tour in 30 years that the band haven't done press for.

I've heard rumours of a surprise acoustic set 'round Jim's fire pit in Madoc.

Would love to be able to sing along with Gordie at one of those shows.

Not that this is relevant but I noticed something disturbing and funny at the same time and am only posting this because maybe it can get someone to laugh or smile..

Having said that I'l be damned if Gord S isn't Peter North's twin. The faces are almost identical.
