What non-single, non radio-friendly song got you hooked?
#31

Arseface's top 5 underrated Hip songs, in no particular order:

1/The Luxury
2/An Inch an Hour
3/Leave
4/Put it Off
5/Sharks

I know that many of these songs are actually popular among Hipbasers, but I think they could all benefit from more exposure on rock radio.

Bring it all back

I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!

Another Midnight is one of the earlier "lesser known" songs that caught me!

Escape Is At Hand For The Travellin' Man.... I was already a mammoth Hip fan when this song came about, but something about it just "speaks to me". So much nostalgia attached to it (Phantom Power came out around the same time I moved out on my own for the first time), and so many great memories.

Also hearing it evolve. From hearing it as a jam in the middle of NOIS, to seeing it live on it's own pre-release, and then finally hearing it on the record was pretty amazing. It's awesome to be able to witness the Hip's music taking shape.

What got me hooked was seeing them live in 2000. As for songs, after that, I couldn't get enough of Escape or Grace.

Pigeon Camera and Thugs, and then most of DFN.
