My 2 year old girl's name is Sydney Lillian and we are expecting a boy in 6 weeks. Still no name for him yet, but we're leaning towards Reid.

gibbytime39 Wrote:...So the first boy name i throw out there is "Gord." i cited how it seemed a natural progression and was only fitting. well, this was thrown out the window without even a maybe or we'll see...i think Gord Gibson would be a cool name. Confusedcratch: Confusedcratch:
Simple. Tell your wife you've changed your mind and that for a boy you'll name him Mel and if it's a girl you want to call her Debbie. I swear if that doesn't turn her green, then I suggest you take her to a physician immediately.

Other names you can throw at her:
Boy: Harry Pitts... or Harry Cox, Ben Dover, Dick Craven...
Girl: Anita Lay, Ima Ho... and Ivona Ho (if you have twins), Joy Ryder, Tess Tickle...

THEN pause and say 'Or how about Gordon Robert Paul Gibson?'. I'm sure she'll come around after that. :lol:

At the show in Pittsburgh last summer, there was a family behind me with 3 kids and 2 had Hip related names. One of the girls was named Grace, and the other had Cordelia as her middle name. They played Grace, Too that night and little Grace (I'm guessing she was 6 or 7) stood there and sang the whole song.

I was doing something with Hip lyrics - and I came across this accompaniment on the internets:

Songwriters:
Baker, Robert Edwin;
Downie, Gordon Edgar;
Fay, John Philip;
Langlois, Paul Joseph;
Sinclair, Robert Gordon;

Odd, random fact of the day.

Got a boy coming to the family in December. The first baby (a girl), we named Elsie. I think we've settled on the name Hudson for our boy. It wasn't intended to be a Hip reference. But it turns out the plane that Bill Barilko boarded on the day he disappeared that summer (in 1951) was piloted by his friend Henry Hudson. So there you go.
