Some sites show "Brendan Canning (Broken Social Scene) DJ Set"
example: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.flynntix.org/flynn-mainstage/the-tragically-hip/Details?perfNo=11565&perfCodePrefix=HGP15T">http://www.flynntix.org/flynn-mainstage ... fix=HGP15T</a><!-- m -->
Not sure if it's for all shows.

There are currently a few decent seats available on the floor (row 4 and row 5) for the Kingston show. I may or may not have picked one up. :oops:

Anyone else notice they have gone to setlist groups, to open and close the shows, that are predetermined sets, ala 2009? I've been going through the setlits for the tour and it seems like they are rotating through predetermined sets for before and after FC. For example, the opening set consists of Grace, M@W, NOIS, ABAC, and maybe a rare track, and the closing set is along the same lines with View, Bobc, Bones, etc. The rare tracks that they've pulled out seem to be Vapour, Something, Twist, Boots, Kids, with Escape, Scared and Good Life being sort of in between greatest hits and rare tracks.
It's as though they pre-selected a handful of songs that they haven't played in a long time and rotate through them over a few shows, to go along with the greatest hits, as opposed to the "anything and everything is possible" shows like the Fort York ones. This isn't a complaint, just something I've noticed and wonder if it means anything for their next "regular" tour. Will they do the same, totally open the vault, or go back to greatest hits shows?

Springsteen plays for three and a half hours. Tough comparison. Don't think the Hip is capable...or I should say GD. He still sounds like he is struggling with his vocals somewhat. I think his voice/ vocal chords might be damaged. Band sounds good.

Ya imagine if Hip fans could bring signs of what songs they want to play, like Springsteen. Their setlists are still mediocre for what I want to hear. So many great rockin B-sides that this band refuses to touch....She Didn't Know, Sharks, anything from their EP, various Day For Night songs that could replace Grace Too for a couple tours, etc. We all have our tastes, but, for a show that lasts 1hr and 40 minutes, at 150 bucks a crack for good seats, I don't think it is too much to ask for more rarities. Vapour Trails is very cool, but, they can dig deeper. There are live bands out there that would kill to have the choices they do with their catalogue. But, again the band sounds great. Just wonder if the issue of not digging deeper has something to do with Gord's vocals or comfort of pulling off songs from the past. Who knows. I guess we should be grateful for still having rock n roll, because their ain't nobody stepping up to take their place.

Funny how every body kind of thinks its Gords singing abilities that determine what songs are played or not and how it all revolves around Gords singing, nobody is mentioning about Paul now being totally deaf in 1 ear. Im sure that might have something to do with a few songs being pulled from the rotation for some reason or other, I did notice on the 2 shows that I have seen on this tour that during the acoustic songs that Pauls guitar is turned way up in the mix, so I guess he might be having a problem with acoustic songs so maybe that might translate into some of the slower quieter numbers like Flamenco and The Rules. Might be something to ponder when we all talk about this band going forward and how it might be Gords vocal chords when also we need to throw into the mix Pauls hearing. I qualify this statement about hearing by telling everybody I am 50% deaf in both ears and wear hearing aids when not at a concert, I know first hand that some songs come thru really good and some just sound off depending on if they are slow and quiet or acoustic, so im thinking this would also affect a member of a band who plays a guitar.
