Well, I guess it really does take all kinds....

Let's Stay Engaged is a great track, likewise Don't Wake Daddy. And like Esthete, I like the much-maligned Apartment Song.

I'd say the low points are Coconut Cream and Butts Wigglin'.

And I agree on IVL. That's the one I'd pick as their weakest album, but I think a lot of that may have been the producer's influence. Substitute the three unreleased tracks for the worst tracks on IVL and you have a much better album.

And for me IVL REALLY grew on me (certain songs hit home for certain reasons, timing is everything) and it is top 5 if not top 3 for me personally.

^^^ give it time. Will at some point learn the merits of this album. TATH was a different cd when it first came out. Much mellower feel to it than Day for Night and FC. I always found that their albums never really grip me from the start. I need a warm up period before I can say Yeah, I see what's going on here.

What particlular parts do you not like? Let's analyzed it. Lyrics, melody, energy?

The production isn't that good, but you can say that about most Hip albums (PP is the only album where I think the production is perfect for the sound). Energy is certainly an area i think it suffers after the 1-2-3 punch of Gift Shop - Springtime In Vienna - Ahead By A Century the album seems to get stuck in a midtempo rut and none of the songs really standout from one another (aside from Coconut Cream), there doesn't seem to be any big upbeat choruses to uplift these songs - I think Apartment Song maybe one of the better ones, but really I have trouble remenbering most of them, something that doesn't happen with any other Hip albums.

I brought all the Hip albums from Up To Here to IBE in the space of about 2 weeks a couple of years ago and this is the only one i've had any trouble with.

Oh and someone mentioned Pearl Jam, I have the same problem with 'No Code' an album I just think is easily the weakest PJ album.
