As much as I love the writing of this show, it would be better for me if the last 4 or 5 episodes were edited down to abot three. Alot of the sidestory fluff can be eliminated -- the livery bits, the theatre sitchyashun, etc. Some of the dialogue can be pared down at this stage of the game......
Though this Sunday's episode oughta be kick-ass........

Just read an interview with Brad Dourif (Doc) about the new Halloween movie....(which by the way looks pretty cool itself).
However, the part that stood out for me was this part..
MTV: You're a busy man these days. What other projects have you been up to?
Dourif: I can't even remember them all. I did about seven movies last year, and I think we are going to do a few more "Deadwood" episodes. We are going to start shooting those probably in the summer.

Hmm, I'm a bit confused. Are the two alleged features still a go? I assumed so as the season 3 dvd is out in june, and they usually release those right before the newest runs.

Carnivale and the "series" finale was as intense as the Twin Peaks finale...both with HUGE cliffhangers, and both with networks confirming the shows weren't coming back

Just finished up watching all 3 seasons of Deadwood in a row...the only thing more astounding would be letting you know how much food I ate and booze I drank while watching it this weekend.
I've gotta say I'm having a hard time putting into words just how amazed I was by this show. I can't imagine another series being ever coming close to equaling this one from writing and character development standpoint.
I would pay to watch an entire new show if it was just Wu and Swidgen talking to one another...I couldn't stop laughing whenever those 2 got together...San Fransico Coc*sucker!!!

that last post just makes me sad that they never made a 4th season...
