just keeps getting better and better..the acting is the best on TV right now, and the atmosphre is breathtaking....brian cox added to the cast tonite...fuck this show is good goddamn cocksuckers!!! (anybody who hasn't seen the show won't get the "c.s." comment)
Not only is the acting unparalleled, the writing is so astounding. Milch is a modern day Shakespeare, in my opinion. I find it so hard to convey how brilliant this series is. The ensemble is great; Ian Mcshane, Powers Boothe, Jeffrey Jones, and now Brian Cox, among other greats(too many to mention). Each episode takes multiple watches to pull out every tidbit of plot. And it certainly doesn't baby you along, or hold any punches. You've got to have no expectations because rarely does this show go where you think it will. So, bascially I'm saying to those who haven't seen it, go buy the DVDs because you don't know what you're missing.
As far as this season goes, the pace being set is staggering. It almost feels as if it should conclude in the next episode, but we still have 9 more to go. Hearst has been a great surprise this season, taking everyone offgaurd in deadwood, I'm sure, while Bullock and Al are struggling to keep up. I'm not sure where they are going with this Langrishire character, but I'm sure its gonna be great. Something also has got to come to a head between Alma and Seth, because those glances across the thoroughfare are becoming a little drawn out. Hearst's beard is growing at an incredible rate too, I was wondering, comparing to the actual photo's of Hearst, what was going on.
Can't wait to see what's coming!
I caught the first couple of episodes when I still had a dish and really liked it. I was going to buy the DVD's a couple of weeks ago but they were pretty steep. Maybe next paycheck.
I am still getting through season 2. I think its a great show. I dont understand why its not more popular.
Is it true this is going to be the last season?
The best drama currently on TV, and probably the best EVER, IMO.
I didn't see last night's episode yet (took our very own Jenna_Bird to meet the parents yesterday!) but I have it recorded on the DVR. I'm itchin' to see it...
last nights episode had some friggin hilarious lines!! and yes this is the last full season, with 2 TV movies to follow.

this is too funny..but NOT SAFE FOR WORK!!! NOT AT ALL..be warned there's lots of swearing and a few un PC moments
Tonight's episode "A Two Headed Beast" was easily one of the best episodes of Deadwood yet. It only proves the genius of this show. The fight in the street was about as poignant as television gets, reminiscant of the McCall chase in season one or the bike race in season two. I don't know how they are going to top this season off, but it can't miss.
shit is gonna hit the fan soon!!!!! what an amazing season
i found last nights episode to be quite slow, although the acting was still fantastic to watch...ian mcshane is by far the best actor on TV right now..is it just me, or does Al seem a little sad lately..perhaps knowing that his time as the "man" is coming to an end
I want to watch this... but everytiome I go to buy the DVDs I remember Ian McShane in Lovejoy and end up blowing the money on CDs instead.
plus, I'm currently buying up all the series' of Scrubs that are out on DVD.

it's hard to believe that it's the same guy that played lovejoy...
I know, or the same guy who starred in the musical version of Witches of Eastwick...

I agree, it was a little slower than past episodes, but its a necessary calm. I do beleive that this was one of the most rich episodes thematically. We delved further into Al's sould than i expected, and the new strategy for combatting hearst was unexpected. Instead of fighting hearst with hands, they plan to confront with community, which is, afterall, the main theme of the show.
